Courage the Cowardly Dog
16 0 ReplyPluto TV is missing out in not making a deal with whoever the owner of CN is, those classics deserve their spot there...
In the meantime I am happily using DizqueTV to make my own channels 😂
2 0 ReplyAdult Swim has Checkered Past, and they air Courage and Ed, Edd and Eddy
They also air Billy and Mandy and What a Cartoon as well

Reboot
It may not be the answer I gave at the time, but it's the best balance now of "liked it as a kid" and "like it as an adult"
14 0 ReplyI'm terrified of rewatching it and it not living up to my nostalgia.
4 0 ReplyA documentary was released on the show last month. During production they were given the original master tapes for the show and have been slowly releasing all of the episodes in glorious 4k for free on YouTube. Check them out - they hold up to nostalgia better than you'd expect.

Make sure you check out the documentary that was released last month on YouTube! It's called ReBoot Rewind.

The Tick.
I really enjoyed the comic book hero shows, and The Tick and Freakazoid were great fun to watch as parodies of the genre.
I was so happy to see The Tick get a couple of seasons as an Amazon show.
11 1 ReplyI'll throw in EEK! The Cat in with the hilarious and witty parodies

This shouldn't be the answer because it's not really for kids. But it is, and will always be, The Simpsons.
Every evening at 6pm on UPN I would watch the Simpsons with my dad. I went from watching and understanding Bart to now watching with my daughter and seeing it through Homer's eyes.
10 0 ReplyAs a kid, I would always flip on the TV for the evening episode of the Simpsons too haha! Except I swear for me it was 5pm.
2 0 ReplyI'm EST. Maybe you are central time? Bill Nye was on at 5pm on PBS for me

That shit worked, lol! I had the motorcycle helicopter & a pterodactyl with missile launchers. I wanted that T-Rex so bad, but that was like $100 in 80's money and was not happening.

For the wacky antics it'd definitely be a tie between Ed Edd n' Eddy and Codename Kids Next Door. What other shows can you get a cursed telephone that causes suffering and an elevator made of junk that leads to the moon for EEnE? Or for KND have a whole zoo filled with kids as the exhibits so childless parents can throw peanuts at them while also having an episode where a man who looks like a baby use his cigar to connect to a global satellite web to try and turn everyone else into babies?

1 0 ReplyDoraemon
This is a very big franchise in Asia but rarely mentioned in the west, so let me introduce it to (most of) you :>
Doraemon is a robot cat from the 22nd century who has gone back in time to help a kid named Nobita. He has a lot of wacky gadgets to offer. Each episode is basically a story about one of these gadgets. They also pump out a new movie every year.
1 0 ReplyNinja Hattori is big in Asia but unknown in the rest of the world as well right?
1 0 ReplyI don't know about that. The authors of Ninja Hattori and Doraemon shared the same pen name though
1 0 Reply
Doraemon is incredibly popular in Spain, to the point that basically everyone no matter the age knows at least the premise and the main characters. It baffled me when I found out that it was largely unknown in other western countries.
Edit: I just remembered Shinchan, another anime that is huge in Spain but not very popular elsewhere.
