I heard that his staffers achieved this by having him sit on a leaf blower during the interview, effectively making him the first "flailing arm tube man, turtoise, Moscow mule" hybrid.
"It's reported that the senator landed on his back, and proceeded to roll back and forth for over 10min before his laughing constituents flipped him off his shell back onto his feet"
Agree, but one thing McConnell typically had, even as Minority Leader, was his people in line. I'm not sure the dems will ever be able to form a solid block as fragmented as we all are. Doesn't meant they shouldn't try though.
Idk. Knowing that he knows he's old, weak, frail, and vulnerable, and knowing that he's probably in ongoing pain from toppling down stairs, makes me happier than him just straight up passing.
When you’re old, a bad fall can indicate the final 2 years of your life. Reduced mobility, depression, and injury sap what little remains of you. Despite hating him, I sympathize. There’s nothing to be gained from his current state. Were he still leading the country to its ruin, I’d be ecstatic, but now he’s just an old idiot potentially headed for hospice. Trump should take the stairs more often
How fuck did he not break his neck or die? Fucking old man like him falls down stairs and lives? I think my hunch is correct and all the freezing up and falling down is because the man been dead for years. It's whatever spell allowing his corpses to continue to function is wearing off.
Wasn't it not 2 years ago there was a picture and he showed his hands were almost completely black and he had frozen up?
Anyway wish Fucker retire or better yet go off another way. He destroyed enough of this country already and allowed Trump to do what he doing now.
The human body is surprisingly resilient. Even when a standard fall like this (as opposed to falling off a roof or out of a window) directly leads to death, it usually doesn't happen right away.
It seems likely that he's near the end, but I don't think that really matters. He won't be replaced by anyone better.
Why would someone playing Magic the gathering pay either one light/dark mana to use push when they could use Fatal push instead, which is a solid equalizer to being on the draw against aggro/mana dorks.
Also a good option on the play, but most decks would proactively cast thoughtseize (assuming both in hand)
"The governor must choose a nominee from a list of three names the outgoing senator’s party submits. Beshear would have to choose a Republican, should either Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell or Sen. Rand Paul’s seats become vacant."
“Unclear about injuries. But Fox is told he appears to be ok. McConnell was helped up by Sens. Steve Daines (R-MT) and Markwayne Mullin (R-OK),” Pergram posted
Fox: It's fine, everybody! He's just as dead as he was before 👍
"In 2020, 42,114 deaths in the US were related to falls, with 86% occurring among adults aged 65 years or older.1 Falls are the leading cause of injury and among the leading causes of death among older adults in the US.2,3"
My dad had Parkinson's, which he fought for many years. When he couldn't walk anywhere without falling, that was when he had only months left to live. I know that's a very specific situation, but his doctor told me the same general statistic you did and to let him know when my dad starts falling more often. Even when he just had random falls once in a while, that was when he was within a year of the end.
