Looks more like stupid autocorrect being stupid. OP fixed it.
Absent Stein, there's nowhere for left leaning voters to go besides the Democratic candidate, and given that those folks tend to be MORE motivated to vote, not less, I don't see them staying home.
Could she?
I mean, anything's possible.
Seems highly UNLIKELY.
2016:
Trump - 1,405,284
Clinton - 1,382,536
Difference - 22,748
Stein - 31,072
2020:
Biden - 1,630,866
Trump - 1,610,184
Difference - 20,682
Green Party failed to make the ballot. Howie Hawks (Green candidate) was a write in. - 1,089
But there's another confounding factor... Covid deaths. 16,723 deaths.

Too much of the PA economy is dependent on fracking. If she supported a ban, she'd lose PA.

- Slept wrong and my open heart surgery scar aches. :(
She's not blowing it as badly as Clinton did, so she has that going for her!
But it's going to come down to PA, MI, WI.
She's said she won't ban fracking, which means PA is still in play, unlike when Clinton said she'd put coal miners out of work.
She's actually visited MI and WI, unlike Clinton, so that's good. Her dismissal of Arab votes is going to be problematic, but will it be problematic ENOUGH? 🤷♂️
So, just like last time...
But also just like last time... early votes and mail in votes don't even start being counted until after the polls close.
So he will declare early victory, like last time, then be over-ridden by counting as the early votes get tabulated, like last time, and try to say that's evidence of fraud, also like last time.
I heard an interesting piece on the radio yesterday talking about Wisconsin.
The votes in Wisconsin are counted by MUNICIPALITY, not by voting district, or even by county.
They have some 1,800 tabulation centers and the results aren't announced until all 1,800 are in.

World is explicitly for non-US news, to give the rest of the world room to breathe.
This is more suited to News or Politics, both of which are US centric.
When consoles go digital only, it will be the end of consoles.
You can't sell the hardware without a physical presence of games, otherwise you fall into the PS Vita trap of "it doesn't have any games!"
Using sound, so less like the Force from Star Wars and more like The Voice in Dune.
Looks like you made a text post instead of linking directly to the article, please link to the article directly.
Also posted to Not the Onion. ;)
Wasn't he in "Frailty"? LOL.
If you vote for the candidate who mathematically cannot win, over the candidate advocating for an immediate cease fire and two state solution, then you are only helping the candidate who has said the only thing Israel is doing wrong is not killing people fast enough.
Yeah, we have some winners in the voters pamphlet:

There’s no word yet on the exact reason for the closure of the family-style, comfort-food restaurant — or on how many employees were impacted. But as of Monday, Shari’s owes the Oregon Lottery over $900,000.
A note on Universal Monk:
So we've seen the complaints and the reports and boy oh boy are there complaints and reports.
I've discussed the account with the other mods and admins multiple times, and while we agree the volume is a lot, it doesn't point to a botfarm or multiple people using the account.
Obsessive? Absolutely, but not technically rule breaking... Until today.
Today they indescriminately posted the same story three times from three different sources apparently solely to flood the channel showing a decided lack of judgement.
It's a valid story from a valid source, the original has been kept here:
https://lemmy.world/post/21098916
The others have been removed as duplicates.
I'm also applying a 15 day temp ban on the account.
"15 days? That's oddly specific! What's in 15... OH!"
“We got really well practiced at talking about how awful things are."
“It feels very active,” said Flood, 34. “Compared to a year or two ago it’s a lot cleaner, all of the plywood has come down, less trash on the streets. It’s just felt like a more vibrant and interesting and engaging place to spend time.”
. . .
There are a few signs that people may be starting to feel better about downtown. Horvick notes that just 38% of Portland area voters polled from Oct. 9 to Oct. 13 had a “very negative” impression of the city center. In April’s poll, 51% had a “very negative” impression.
The poll found 25% of respondents said they understand the voting system 'very well' and 40% 'somewhat well.'
Regional have ruled out various other potential sources.
Theory is a paper mill.
For those old enough to remember trips down I-5, that's what Albany used to smell like(!)
“We believe he’s uniquely unfit to serve as Portland’s next mayor."
'Political shenanigans': Homeless service providers roiled as Portland poised to pull funding
Now before you get all riled up... yes, superficially this LOOKS bad:
"The city of Portland sends the county roughly $30 million per year to fund about 10% of the Joint Office of Homeless Services budget."
But the Joint Office is the same agency leaving budgeted money UNSPENT. $113 million in 2024 alone.
https://www.oregonlive.com/politics/2024/09/multnomah-county-homeless-services-office-reports-it-housed-21-more-people-in-past-year.html
For some reason this article left that part out.
If they failed to spend $113 million, do they REALLY need Portland's $30 million? Would we be better off if Portland spent that money itself?
The secretary of state is investigating 11 Portland City Council candidates and one candidate for mayor.
So if you're not up on the scandal... Oregon offers public matching donations for candidates who get a certain, specific number of campaign contributions.
In order to reach that threshhold, a number of candidates got caught swapping contributions. "Hey, I'll donate to you if you donate to me..." kind of thing.
"The city council candidates under investigation are District 1 candidate Thomas Shervey; District 2 candidates William Mespelt and Sam Sachs; District 3 candidate Luke Zak; and District 4 candidates Chad Lykins, Michael Trimble, Mike DiNapoli, Eric Zimmerman, Bob Weinstein, Sarah Silkie and Ben Hufford, according to Kerns. Mayoral candidate Liv Osthus is also under investigation, Kerns said."
Ranked:
- Wilson
- Rubio
- Gonzalez
- Mapps
- Osthus
"After speaking with the rest of the candidates, we don’t see a viable sixth option."
Nebraska’s high court says people with felony records can register to vote in a decision with implications for the upcoming election.
The headline here hides the epic smackdown of the Secretary of State and Attorney General who thought they had the right to decide what laws were constitutional and which were not.
FTA:
“Patty and Selma at the Department of Motor Vehicles may not be constitutional scholars, but they know that they are expected to follow the law,” Justice Lindsey Miller-Lerman wrote in the high court’s ruling, criticizing Evnen and Attorney General Mike Hilgers for taking it upon themselves to declare the law unconstitutional. “Do we want to live in a world where every state employee who has a hunch a statute is flawed gets to ignore it?”
