Grape
29 2 ReplyI'll take the grape ones if you don't want them.
Particularly Pixie Stix. Grape's the best flavor of those.
12 0 ReplyYeah, wtf? Grape is fantastic. Its literally the flavor "purple".
8 0 ReplyIn Britain, if not Europe, "purple" is often blackcurrant, not grape.

You never see my man kiwi without that damn upstagin' strawberry
26 1 ReplyOrange
19 0 ReplyIs it the flavor of the orange fruit or the flavor of the color orange? n o o n e k n o w s
11 1 ReplyFWIW the fruit was named first and is the source of the name for the color, so by that logic the flavor should be the fruit

As a certified Orange Enjoyer, it always perplexed me how other kids were always so ready to trade away their orange Starburst.
As someone who also thinks the pink ones are way overrated, though, it ultimately didn't matter to me, because li'l me was out there making some deals

Some iffy candidates:
- root beer
- black licorice
- grape
18 1 ReplyRoot beer barrels come to mind. Obviously black licorice has it's own candy. Usually I see grape flavored fun dip and pop rocks
7 0 ReplyLicorice jelly beans and gum drops are somewhat popular.
1 0 ReplyI liked root beer barrels but haven't seen them in decades.

Black licorice
I am Dutch and questioning the core of my existence now.
3 0 ReplyDon't you guys have salted black licorice, too? That's like the candy version of adding insult to injury.
3 0 ReplyHa! Yes, we have various fruity flavors of "licorice" in the US. In an attempt to avoid confusion we sometimes call it black licorice. We sometimes spell it properly, liquorice.

Surprised to see Grape so many times! The fake grape flavor of grape candy is my favorite!
15 0 ReplyLet's play hide and seek, I'll hide and you seek professional help.
All joking aside, I'm glad you enjoy them! I've never really met anyone who does so I always have to just begrudgingly eat the grape candy myself when it comes in a bag with different flavors. I hate food waste too much to throw the damn stuff out
7 0 ReplySave them and ferment then into wine.

You’re not alone, I love artificial grape

Whatever these orange "peanuts" are
14 0 ReplyAh, the texture of fine styrofoam and the flavor of nearly extinct fruit shaped like a cartoon depiction of the least memorable circus snack. Truly a champion among sweets.
19 0 Replythey taste like disappointment.

I used to love those as a kid. They were even better when they were a little stale and they had a firmer outer crust while the inside was nice and soft. Havent had them in ages, though.

Cherry for me. Common flavor in lots of fruity candy mixes but not my favorite. I do like cherry sours on their own though
13 0 ReplyLuden’s cherry cough drops for me. I can eat them like candy, and honestly they probably are.
10 0 ReplyMy disdain for cherry candies actually comes from a childhood of sore throats and, therefore, gratuitous cherry-flavored medicines. I know it’s all mental but I can ’feel’ my tongue go numb from anything with that cherry flavor…

Lime? Don’t see a lot of lime candy all by themselves.
Butter too. So many candies include butter, but it’s rarely hyped as the star flavor.
12 0 ReplyWhat about butterscotch, though?
4 0 ReplyNo thanks, I’ll take it without the butter.

Am I the only one who doesnt care for watermelon flavor?
Of all the "red" flavors, watermelon is the most disappointing. Just give me cherry, strawberry, or raspberry. Far, far superior.
14 2 ReplyWatermelon and strawberry both, just gross.

Whatever the hell candy corn is.
11 0 ReplyEat it with a handful of peanuts. Goes from awful to awesome.
8 0 ReplyLike the crunchy ones that come in shells or the god forsaken orange foam ”candy"?

It's made with honey, sugar, butter, and vanilla, and I loooove it.

I don't understand the question
10 0 ReplyI'd guess that they mean that they reliably show up in an assortment but aren't many people's favorite.
12 0 ReplyMy sense is it's getting at "what's an overated candy flavor"

You know if a candy line has a fruit punch flavor you're in for an iffy time.
6 0 ReplyFruit punch is just all the fruits that you wouldn't eat individually mixed together. A jambalaya of mediocrity.
15 0 Reply'Jambalaya of Mediocrity'. Excellent.

Orange/tangerine
6 1 ReplyYes. Orange never the star. Especially in jellies/chews.
1 0 ReplyLies.

Sour apple 🍏
5 0 Replyhard disagree. Favorite flavor in any candy
9 0 ReplyWell it's my star! But I feel bubble gum always gets main credits.

Onion.
It's in almost everything; but almost nobody claims it to be their favorite.
8 5 Replyonion flavoured candy is the best

Grape. When I am eating Skittles they are consistently the last remaining ones in the bag...
3 1 ReplyMix the grape and lime together... excellence!

White jelly beans. I like them, but I have never heard anyone ever say it was their favorite.
