One is a broad base for story telling, the other is one long story about how a single family and their granddad's hetro-lifemate can fuck over an entire galaxy,
But they're mostly right about the hopeful part. When it isn't shown that the Federation is super corrupt and being controlled by evil outside forces, of course.
The mob is carrying DVD copies of DS9 ... the dogs are strays they found along the way and they're taking care of them ... the torches are there because they drained the batteries on their smartphones downloading 'Wrath Of Khan' for you to watch.
I started watching TNG just recently and am nearly done with season 2. Season 1 is not nearly as bad as the internet led me to believe, and honestly I kinda miss some things from it a little bit.
Well, there’s a bit of everything in the fandom. What sort of series and movies do you like? I’m sure we’ll be stumbling to recommend you specific episodes Abe possibly even a movie or two.
(TBH I don’t care much for the movies, expect for the Kelvin timeline, for which I’m sure I’ll burn at the stake.)
Star Wars was based on the past but set in the future. They borrowed "stormtroopers" from Hitler. The space battles are just like WWII dogfights. Star Wars was never looking forward it was looking backwards.
Everyone thinks I'm super into star wars cause I enjoy building Lego space ships and star wars is the option in that regard. Mind you I've just noticed a Chinese brick company have dropped a giant Enterprise and there's a Rocinante on the way too!
I just applied for my UK passport and the photo I gave to them was me in a red T-shirt with the TOS delta on it. I'm guessing the delta will be cropped out, but here's hoping.
When people conjure mental male representation of Star Wars, they think of fat neckbeard Lucas and the lizard. When they think of Star Trek, they imagine sly silver fox Picard and Datas most probable mechanical prowess.
The Return of the Jedi novelization introduced the term "jizz-wailer" to describe a musician, but the term "jizz" as the name of the musical style was not introduced until the publication of Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina, twelve years later.
The original RotJ novelization was released in 1983. Don't discount Legends!
And when Qui-gon realized he couldn't cheat hard enough for both slaves, he just... didn't try to get the funds together? Come up with some other sort of trade?
I've been watching star trek (TNG, DS9, Voyager) and still don't get the red shirt reference. I know it's about them getting killed all the time but I just don't see it.
Obviously the one who is not one of the lead actors, whose character usually doesn’t have a name, no lines, never appeared, and is from security and tasked to protect the captain and jump first in combat is going to survive.
The meme is from TOS. Not as many people died in the newer ones.
A simple pie chart reveals 55 total deaths and, yes, red shirts perished in frightening numbers. A whopping 24 died, compared to 9 in yellow/gold command and 7 in blue, with 15 crossing into the final frontier in unidentified colors
In TOS, there were more characters in red shirts than any other color. So of course most deaths were characters wearing a red shirt. Proportionally, I believe it was actually yellow with the highest mortality rate.
This is actually an interesting rabbit hole. I wonder if it's a meme or if Duke Jizzerstein is actually real. They really went hard into this whole jizz thing. There is literally a track on the album "Let's Jizz With the Duke!" called "Gonna Jizz Tonite"
Edit: it has to be fake. There is literally a track called "Spermulation". Also the website is a giveway that it's likely ai generated https://mrpii.online/
