That was one of the reasons why he bought Twitter - now call X. So, he can do whatever he wants on his platform. Even if it means, tweeting fake news.
I used to be on Twitter. But I gave that gig up. As well, as Facebook. There are plenty of other places on the net to interact and I won't give either a single penny (for my thoughts).
Elon is so pathetic, he lies about being good at video games and then shows he knows nothing about the games he supposedly is good at when trying to flex how good he is at the game on a live stream.
Here we are again acknowledging what a turd Elon is and not deleting our accounts. A missing user base talks but repeatedly acknowledging how bad he is while continuing to use the service does nothing.
Nah don’t delete, hoard the accounts. Especially if you have a coveted username. If X has a lot of users but only a fraction is truly active that would fuck their ad business. Advertisers will quickly realize those numbers are fudged and stop paying the prices X is asking.
That bit largely already happened. Twitter isn't self-funded, it loses lots of money already. It's just a tool cumbadger Elon uses to exert influence. Like Bezos and WP, but better value for money.
I deleted my account a while ago, once I realized it would never improve. Musk “stepped down” but still controls X. The Twitter we liked before is never coming back.
Convincing people that looting is happening on any real scale (it’s 99% people escaping evacuation zones or returning to their burnt up homes) is going to get someone fucking shot, just like it did during Katrina.
Depends on the target. Stores? Probably fine. Sticking to chains instead of local shops would be cooler, though. People's homes? Nah. That's shitty. Taking advantage of people in an emergency is some CEO level mentality.
If you're looting TVs, you're making the evacuation worse, but I don't care if you're just grabbing food or supplies. I'd absolutely break some windows if I needed jumper cables for instance.
