My least favourite day has to be Wednesday because it's still in the middle of the week, you get two more days to battle through and it just feels like it won't ever end.
Monday I can deal with because you know it's only the start, Tuesday it's meh for me.
Thursday I'm okay cos I'm gearing up for Friday and the weekend.
I put forth the motion that Tuesday is the worst day. Monday is Monday, but it is a fresh start, at least. The week could still turn out ok. Wednesday is at least the half way point. Thursday is good because it is almost Friday. And Friday is Friday. But Tuesday has nothing going for it, it's Monday without being a fresh start.
I feel like you are young... Im more like the old soldier who is tired of fighting, and going into retirement.
My least favorite day is Monday because it all starts again, the week, from the beginning, just like it has 750 times before in the last 15 work years. It's really getting old by now.
Weekends. Public transit is wonky and everywhere is crowded by the Monday-Friday normies. I'm also much more likely to be screamed at, near missed, or swerved into by happy drivers who love driving so much they rush to stop driving as soon as they can. So I make sure I work weekends so my free days off are weekdays where all the asshole drivers and weed addicted teenagers are inside. And I get an extra $40 a week to avoid being trapped in a train with someone who definitely isn't addicted to marijuana who couldn't wait until they were outside to smoke. Thanks Amazon!
Everything closes early and some things are just outright unavailable for that one day. Need to get things done during the weekend? It better be all on Saturday because Sunday doesn't give a fuck about what you need to deal with.
I think Sunday evening, about seven has the most difficulty based solely on position in the week. Throughout your entire life that is the time you are most regularly aware what is being taken from you.
Yeah I hate Sunday evenings. I’m acutely aware I have to wake up super early the next day, and yet I still have energy from sleeping in an extra hour and just want to hang out. That means I almost always end up going to bed later than I plan, making Mondays suck more than they need to.
Life is pretty awesome, I'm lucky enough to enjoy most days. Work's engaging, after work I play sports with friends 3 days a week, other weekdays are organized to fit in chores or other friends. And weekends are for bigger plans and/or chores, plus another soccer game or two with friends.
As a retail worker, weekends. I don't get to enjoy a day off with everyone else, as I'm usually scheduled weekends. (What i get for showing competence in doing my job)
I don't mind Wednesdays ATM because they're often meeting free. So I can both indulge my need to be distracted and make solid progress on my tickets. That makes the day pass quickly.
Monday's are usually shit. My Sunday tends to be busy, then I sleep poorly because my sleeping brain starts anticipating the alarm 3 hours before it goes off, every other week I have 3 meetings before lunch, and usually a todo list left over from Friday that has grown even larger over the weekend.
Wednesday is the day I look forward to most as I have a social event on that day, I'd never considered before that it was specifically scheduled to the middle of the week for that reason, but it makes sense.
I used to hate Sundays the most out of all. Not because work is starting again but mostly because you can't really do anything on Sundays: can't go shopping, can't go to the city for random activities. Sunday has the potential to be as good as Saturday but only if I actually have something to do. It's gotten better recently, tho
