Why are modern movie posters so bad?
49 1 ReplyIt's like they are ai generated. Same construction, same color.
21 1 ReplyThe sun is constantly setting down in the Orange and blue empire.
8 0 Replylol. you don't remember the two big faces posters of the 80's and 90's? No A.I involved back in those days.

Gotta agree. Im assuming it will have the traditional hero story too even if the avatar lore says otherwise. Maybe this sells better?

I'll say it again, some stuff simply doesn't translate well into life action.
DBZ, TLA... it just will look goofy when it's actually taken fully serious.
We loved these shows because they are a bit silly, yet have cool messages. But, the minute you start doing kamehamehas in real life.... It's just absurd.
33 1 ReplyThe One Piece Live Action worked well enough. You just have to capture the spirit and be willing to ditch things that look too silly on film.
26 1 ReplyAnd have a multi million dollar budget per episode. That also helps
6 0 ReplyExactly this. If they dont take themselves too serious and adapt the silly spirit, it can work.

Hopefully it's as good as the original movie. It's one of my top five movies of all time.

Here, you dropped this.
13 2 ReplyThere exist comments that are so absurd that nobody would seriously make them on the internet.
They are rare, almost impossible to find, but we were lucky to witness a rare exemplar of them right on their natural environment.

I don't have a dog in this race but this poster sucks and it makes me feel like the content will also.
It's not just that it's a boring poster the show looks meh in it.
18 0 ReplyKatara looks like she's giving directions, or possibly guiding a tour
13 0 ReplyShe's replacing Vanna White on Wheel of Fortune

Wtf are the firelord and azula doing in season 1? That's worrying
15 2 ReplyShowrunners are never given any assurance that they'll be given another season, so they're pressured to tell as much of the story in the one season they're greenlit for. I have no doubt that tue original ATLA story will be 75% told in this single season.
10 0 ReplyIt's probably better that she doesn't appear out of nowhere in season 2
6 0 ReplyShe was alluded to originally, shown briefly and spoken about. I wouldn't call it nowhere.
It seems like they are both a major part of the live action.
14 2 ReplyToph say what?

I for one am excited to see TLA in live action for the first time ever.
10 0 ReplyYep that's certainly a poster.
9 0 ReplyIt definitely looks a lot better than the live action movie that Nickelodeon (or whoever worked on it) certainly never made and definitely wasn't a commercial flop that signaled that live action movies based on animated series are always gonna be cash grab garbage if they're not made by passionate fans with a humongous budget
8 0 ReplyIt was M Night Shyamalan lmao that is so hilarious to think about sometimes

Momo is as big as a sheep compared to that house he's sitting in front of.
7 0 ReplyI am keeping my expectations low, that way I can’t be disappointed
6 0 ReplyI didn't know that Daniel Dae Kim was a graduate of the Joey Tribbiani School of Acting...
5 0 Replythat looks god awful ugly.
4 0 ReplyHopefully it will be good.
3 0 ReplyAfter the last live action dumpster fire, I'm not getting my hopes up.

Dem thick eyebrows on Aang though.
3 1 ReplyWeren't the original creators on board at first but later bailed? I will be surprised if this isn't garbage.
1 1 ReplyThey parted ways at some point in pre-production. There are various accounts about why, one popular theory is that is was due to the original creators being offered huge deals at Nickelodeon.

Sokka and Katara are white.. yay.... 🤨
1 15 ReplyThe actors are not, ethnically
How a poster makes them look is a different story
