Source? Very skeptical that what you said can work without running anything on the system, which would be detectable on its own.
That's not what bypass power is. A phone can draw just the amount of power it uses at a time and still have it go in and out of the battery before being used
Willow’s performance on this benchmark is astonishing: It performed a computation in under five minutes that would take one of today’s fastest supercomputers 1025 or 10 septillion years. If you want to write it out, it’s 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 years. This mind-boggling number exceeds known timescales in physics and vastly exceeds the age of the universe. It lends credence to the notion that quantum computation occurs in many parallel universes, in line with the idea that we live in a multiverse, a prediction first made by David Deutsch.
Seriously? Since he couldn't be where he is today if he actually believed what he said, this guy just seems to be desperately saying anything to get media attention, including naming his department "Google Quantum AI".
The Matrix messaging service is in no way related to the legitimate Matrix messaging protocol. We don’t want US citizens looking for an encrypted messaging service to shy away from apps built on the Matrix protocol just because it has the same name.
Why do criminals keep using custom chat solutions anyways?
No please don't let it be called disease X please no
What makes them shitty? They don't look so bad imo
I hope it stays on long enough for me to play it
Edit: played a bit, it's a crash fest. So far:
- Crashes 100% of the time on the EULA screen, you need to click accept the moment it shows up.
- Crashes 50% on the intro logos
- Crashed a couple times on hero select screen before a match
- Crashed kwin while in a match
Does anyone know why "Shell", "MTP Host" and "External Storage" show up as apps I can deny all files access permission to? (Samsung)
I checked, they are system apps. Apparently I denied it to mtp at some point but it still works? Didn't try the other two. What purpose does listing these in the permission list serve other than cluttering it?
I don't think these core system apps used to show up there, anyone?
These are the answers they gave the first time.
Qwencoder is persistent after 6 rerolls.
Anyways, how do I make these use my gpu? ollama logs say the model will fit into vram / offloaing all layers but gpu usage doesn't change and cpu gets the load. And regardless of the model size vram usage never changes and ram only goes up by couple hundred megabytes. Any advice? (Linux / Nvidia) Edit: it didn't have cuda enabled apparently, fixed now
Last time I tried using a local llm (about a year ago) it generated only a couple words per second and the answers were barely relevant. Also I don't see how a local llm can fulfill the glorified search engine role that people use llms for.
It has overpping objects that you look for and tap any instance of. In this case it's cookie or penguin, with the penguin below being the answer
Maybe you don't understand the point? The post says that internet used to be a force for democracy and is now 'weaponised' against it. I'm pointing out that internet itself was never a force and it is silly to try to assign such values to it
I'm not taking about neutral as in in the middle. The medium through which you communicate doesn't favor any message over any other. So it should only be judged based on how good it is at relaying messages, not who has more access to the medium or what they use it to relay.
Google introduced a new AdSense ad format earlier this year that works similarly, turning text on the webpage into an ad that opens in Google Search.
Weren't these super common scam websites a decade ago?
“Her adımı hayatımızı zorlaştırmak üzerine kurulu bu faşist sistemi yıkacağız.”
Almost every language does, do they not? Rust is special because it is safe and as fast as cpp
Is MJ sane?
Every time she says or does something I get the feeling she lived her entire life in a Truman show populated by robots until aunt may pulled her out of it
Turkish government just blocked access to YouTube after a terrorist attack - but the Vivaldi browser on my desktop still connects?
It also connects to discord, supposed to be blocked since more than a week. No other device or browser I have connects to YouTube, they all get ERR_SOCKET_NOT_CONNECTED
, and only a fresh Vivaldi profile on the same pc also connects to Discord, everything else get ERR_CONNECTION_RESET
.
I've tried disabling all extensions, it still connects. Checked its IP address and DNS server and they're the same as other devices/browsers. Any idea what could be going on?
Cross posted from https://lemm.ee/post/45606568 to reach as many people before they unblock it and the chance to investigate is gone
24m edit: Discord just started working on some other chromium browsers including on another device.
80m edit: Another chromium browser just also connected. After deleting browser data it stopped
edit 3: found that if I add this to the servers section of a Network Persistent State
file associated with a chromium browser profile (while the browser is closed), it can connect to youtube. Can't explain why. (anonymization says https://www.youtube.com

When does phoenix force (in marvel comics) actually appear for the first time (and what was the original origin of phoenix)?
Marvel wikia retcons its first appearance as xmen#101, but phoenix force isn't in this issue, phoenix is. At some point between its publication and now the story must've changed to involve a cosmic god, but I wonder if before then phoenix's origin was intended to be an extreme version of fantastic 4's origin beyond just an homage.
I just started reading xmen#125 and once again in a flashback this is how the event is described:
> Her body was consumed by the intense radiation. But her mind refused to die. Driven by her love for Scott Summers, she achieved her full potential as a psi --becoming, briefly, an entity of pure thought-- before finally reforming as Phoenix.
So when does phenix force actually bocme a thing? Were there any other out of universe (as I'll reach the in universe ones eventually) explanations of the phoenix's power before then? Shouldn't the wiki at least mention if a part of an article is a retcon?
Edit: I think it appears first in xmen 153, where Kitty pryde tells colossus's sister a bedtime story loosely based on the xmen. In the story Jean's soul manages to defeat Phoenix.

Dark souls 2 sotfs stuck at 720p in gamescope
I'm trying to play dark souls 2 with the graphics overhaul mod in hdr. I'm passing 1440p to gamescope with the -W, -H, -w, -h options and limiting framerate to 60 with -r and -o.
The game just refuses to display at anything other than 720p. I can change the in-game resolution setting to 1440p but the resolution just doesn't change. I tried setting a lower resolution (480p iirc) as well, but it still looked the same. Also tried enabling fullscreen but that setting doesn't save nor does it do anything.
I'm inferring that it's 720p because the in-game cursor moves half the distance of the actual cursor with gamescope set to 1440p, but they're in sync if I set it to 720p. To the eye it just looks blurry. The mod menu opens at the size it opens without gamescope but is also similarly blurred. Couldn't interact with it to confirm the resolution due to the aforementioned mouse issue
Outside of gamescope fullscreen works fine and the resolution setting works too iirc (but they reset after reopening the game). Kde plasma. Tried disabling secondary screen, setting scaling to 100 and limiting desktop fps to 60, didn't help
Could this be some kind of steam deck detection? Any ideas?
How many mosquitos do you kill every day?
I kill 2-4. Fuckers get in whenever I open the windows at night
Is this strawberry plant real?
Video
I keep seeing this video and every time I'm uncertain. I'm pretty sure that's not how normal strawberry plants look, and the fact that all of the berries are ripe at the same time is suspicious. On the other hand they look naturally connected to the plant and not stabbed into branches..
Marvel Job Numbers (Story Numbers in Wikia)
Sean Kleefeld's daily thoughts about comics and the comic industry.
I have been trying to find any information about the myterious "Story Numbers" for hours and finally found this article
This photo I took on an airplane
I'm guessing this is a rolling shutter effect since the lines were always horizontal wrt the screen but can't really explain it. Shutter speed is 1/1500s. The lines appear on other shutter speeds too but fade away as you approach 1s. They seemed most noticeable at factors of 1/50s or 1/750s. Here's a screen video: https://quickshare.samsungcloud.com/xc6hikOCglkz
Dark Souls Remastered Pegi Review
I've been playing dark souls lately and wanted to see what pegi wrote about it. It's mildly amusing
Usb keyboard unavailable during boot until all usb devices are initialised (solutions?)
Without other usb devices the keyboard works immediately. With them it takes 5 ish seconds for it to start responding. This is regardless of which device is discovered first (which I can manipulate), it seems to just wait for all of them. Is there a way to make it not do that?
Edit: This is specifically about linux boot. It otherwise works fine in bios / bootloader
