Just to say, but I have a few circuit board etching recipes that require a diversity of white powder things measured on precision scales...
There aren't many videos out there of creatures trying to eat a capybara.
It takes some ferocious kind of predator to even attempt it.
Yes, and we know how to treat it (not cure, but we know how to make people not die) since, well, before the times depicted on the game. We have also knew how to avoid most of its infections since... hum, I don't know that one, but Ancient Rome was full of structures made for that, and functional, so some time before them.
Still people didn't use to be able to afford treatment (that is basically drinking large amounts of clean water with salt and sugar, and resting). And it takes a functional government to avoid it.
Oh, it's inside a pool! Yes, the nearly horizontal surfaces are the border tile, the transition tile and the pool bottom tile.
It does make sense. But I'm not sure why one would want 3 different tiles in a pool (the vertical, transition, and bottom).
Thanks, you just ruined the game!
(Just kidding, but it may be a solution to Factorio addiction.)
Looks like it's the end of some covered area, then a car path, and then the outside pavement.
(Where are the meme images from originally?)
But how will red Fascists justify their governments if they can't claim the people wanting freedom are evil?
What of course doesn't disagree any bit to what you said. But expect some coordinated and well founded opposition every time you try to claim "left" and "right" are bullshit.
At least Netflix has a button on the site you can click and cancel.
Now, gym memberships...
This is cursed on so many different levels!
Ancient Chinese recipe. Guarantees you won't age.
I don't think on this case the thing you can do can be classified as "eat".
The microwaves will heat your water more evenly than a kettle.
Liquids have this amazing property, that if you heat them , they auto-stir just by themselves.
(But personally, I'm uneasy about microwaving a tea bag with paper on one end, or worse, a staple. There's probably no problem at all, but it doesn't feel that way.)
Oh, it's a "kids this day" joke! I didn't get it either.
Instead, I was spending my attention on "how old is this comic? SOLID is dated peak OOP, nobody talks about it anymore!"
Well, ok, turns out I wrote a definition of the next line.
It's a nonsensical economical theory, with no definition on the context of economics.
They took Russia out. I'm not sure Iran and Hezbollah are invested on it enough to keep it without help.
It's probably closer related to Ukraine fighting back.
your track widths and PCB dimensions will be in millimetres
Not milli-inches? Is this a UK thing or have PCB design evolve since I last touched it?
Anyway, milli-inches is one of the funniest unities I've used.
Yahoo brought the company that hosted my email back then when they had plenty of money, and I never had a reason to stop using it.
I also have a gmail, that is completely unusable compared to it. And an email in a domain registered to me. But from those 3, the only one I don't use regularly is the gmail.
I used to have a directory with a collection of interesting viruses that I got my hands into. My favorite was a Word macro one that just logged the data about everybody it infected on its source, and spread.
Then Debian added an anti-virus to their repository, and I said "hey, cool, I wonder what it does". Turns out if erases viruses by default.

There used to be dozens of theaters in a city, each one with a different set of contracts playing a different set of movies. Nowadays there are hundreds of movies in a city, all of them with the same set of contracts playing the same 5 movies.
-
Yes, everything is too expensive, what means nobody can afford to take a risk. Not the public, not the theaters, not the studios. (You can see people on this thread commenting that they won't.)
-
There are what? 3 movie studios nowadays? Or are those 2? Either way, you can't expect diversity from that.
As a developer that learned it once, a long time ago, naturally I sign to the pledge...
I have some doubts if I should mark it NSFW.
Why do all those US universities have dealings with Israel?
All those student protests on the US seem to be about stopping their universities from supporting the Israel government. But supporting a foreign government is not a normal thing for a university to do, why do they do it?
Is there some educational or research resource they get?
What do I do with the !community@instance links?
The links like [email protected].
I have had a pretty bad time making those work. I have tried searching for them at the communities page, and removing the exclamation mark and pasting them on my instance (lemmy.world/c/[email protected]).
Some times one of those works, other times my instance finds nothing. And if I go directly to the home instance of the community, it doesn't bring my login.
What is the recommended way to use those?
