Mark Robinson, North Carolina GOP gubernatorial candidate, treated for burns, campaign says
This follows a bombshell report last week which found that Robinson had posted racist and sexually explicit comments online.
Mark Robinson attended a truck show in Mt Airy NC tonight. He burned his hand leaning against a truck and was taken to the hospital. I’m told by an official source that he is fine and home now.

I was sure this headline as going to be on an article from theonion.com detailing witty insults lobbed the the GOP candidate since his unmasking on the porn site.
So he had his hands on some dude's tailpipe and it was so hot, it sent him to the ER with burns. Checks out.

Mike Lonergan, a campaign spokesperson, said in a statement late Friday night that the 56-year-old Robinson suffered second-degree burns during an "incident at a campaign appearance at the Mayberry Truck Show in Mt. Airy," a city located near the border of North Carolina and Virginia.
Without further specific context, I just assumed this was a parody piece given the recent revelations.
Mt. Airy is Andy Griffith's home town, and was the inspiration for Mayberry.
