IDK why people didn't just block mbfc instead of down voting it every time it shows up
- They don't want the community to develop a trust for what very well could be a disinformation bot.
- I'm actually kind of OK with that b/c it pushes it to the bottom of the comments, so it's out of the way but still easy to find if i'm curious.

- They probably feel like they are taking a stance every time. Lol
I like the bots, don't ban them, let people block them if they don't like them.
- Most bots are like ads.
  
  Everyone can install an ad-blocker. But it would be better if that collective effort was not needed.
  
  there should be a simple little checkbox in your settings if you don't want to see bots.

- I come to Lemmy to interact with people, not bots. They spam unwanted comments on literally every post for stuff that should be in a browser extension instead of forced down everyone's instance.
  
  You can just set it so in the settings that you don't see bot accounts
