Except it tastes like shit because it's a hot pocket
18 0 ReplyWell, I can't really argue with that...

Stromboli actually. Strombolis have pizza sauce like the pockets, calzones require ricotta and no sauce (you dip em in marinara).
15 0 ReplyA calzone is just a folded pizza.
10 1 ReplyYep, that's why don't have to call it "pizza flavoured".
6 0 ReplyIts best if you use home made spaghetti sauce (the kind that takes 2 hours to make and is very meaty)

I thought a hot pocket was the American version of a meat pie. No?
5 0 ReplyNo, I think we call that a a pot pie. It has a meat, gravy and a bunch of vegetables
3 0 ReplyWe call that a Pot Pie

No, its definitely not. A Calzone isn't what ever hot pockets are made of.
4 0 ReplyBased on the cube rule every hot pocket is a calzone
5 1 ReplyYes, and so are burritos, corndogs, whole pies, dumplings, pop-tarts, and uncrustables. And presumably non-pizza-flavored Hot Pockets.
4 0 ReplyThis is a case for the cube rule!

Calzones aren't supposed to have sauce inside though
5 6 ReplyEvery calzone I've ever eaten has had sauce. And I only buy the really high quality authentic ones from Sbarro.
17 0 ReplyI was mid sip and reading Sbarro nearly sent a load of drink up my nose 😂
6 1 ReplySometimes I crave a true, authentic, Italian dish with the right cheeses, traditional sauces, and love cooked right into the pasta. Other times, I go to the Olive Garden

Please start a battle with Wikipedia editors over the tomato sauce calzone in this article.
3 0 Reply.... Did you read your own link or no? It says "some places put sauce on top right before serving" which is what's pictured

Wait, really? My world is shaken
2 0 ReplyLol it's regional and always fun to stir shit up and make people argue their locally-adjusted version of an imported recipe is correct. Most places do not put sauce inside though and many don't even serve the sauce

Wait what

A calzone doesn't have tomatoe sauce in it. Also this is a terrible insult to calzones everywhere.
4 6 ReplyWikipedia wants to fight you over that statement
5 0 ReplyThis looks like it has sauce ON it. Like a calzone.
If it is the same as a calzone, but has sauce IN it, then its not a calzone, its a stromboli.

Says who?!
You take your meaty red sauce you made from scratch and you put it in a pizza crust with some toppings.
