I believe you. I wasn't really trying to add any kind of credibility to China's actions in this, but simply explaining why China wouldn't be fulfilling their need (or lack of) for beef from Canada.

This is good info. OPs article doesn't mention this at all, and would suggest Aussie beef suppliers won't benefit as their article suggests. With your info, I'd expect import restrictions on Aussie beef into China in the weeks ahead too.
