If you checked the profile there was couple posts with other pictures of the same person. I just feel bad for that person getting their pictures misused.

Photos, the spammer account actually made posts with other puctures of that person.

A couple of accounts sent out a tonne of PMs. They are getting blocked but banning and removing content doesn't remove DMs, so folks can delete them or wait for the Admins to run some SQL to remove them.
Would love to see how many actually fell for it, highly doubt anyone who did would ever say so.

Didn't actually, but I'll admit that for a second I thought oh man someone needs to tell them they're trying too hard but then I thought about how strange it was to introduce yourself to a community via DM and how many people you'd have to send it to, and--oh, just like spam, because it is spam lol.
But I'm quite gullible / naive, so usually take most comms at face value initially. It's just how I am.

Not much. If it is a spam thing then I suspect that was coming later.
I poked around out of curiosity. The friendica profile was empty except for one post saying hi. The peertube was live an hour ago or so and had a few comments. I'm currently in bed so didn't watch it to see if there was any sound. The final link was to some chat room thing that needed a login to get in, and I didn't feel like making one.
