I've been radicalized decades ago since I was a teenager. I don't need more evidence, I'm exhausted, I don't even feel like fighting. Not when the people don't deserve our sacrifice. Let's focus on protecting ourselves, if a critical mass begins to wake up then we can start to move in the direction of resistance.
You still need a critical mass of followers with the right sentiment. The ground needs to be fertile. It's just not there right now, and those that were radicalized in the last 10 years, they radicalized on the side of fascism. Sacrificing yourself for acts of resistance right now would be purely a symbolic gesture, you'll be left hung out to dry. Just give it time. But if you want to pull a Luigi I'll be the last one to stop you.
Yeah, having dealt with it in Argentina I had an anti imperialist sentiment against the US when I first moved here as a teenager. I always thought the US deserves to be interfered with the same way they did to so many countries in the world. I eventually grew out of it after this place became my home and am very distressed to see what is happening now. However, I know that 15 year old me would be fucking ecstatic at Russia successfully helping tear this country apart. That's what these MAGA cult worshippers don't understand, people that hate the US are very happy to see what is happening now
Im quite enjoying rednote, which I joined up just for to be a spectator to all the TikTok people moving over. What I didn't expect was to see how well the average Chinese lives, and in contrast just how poorly we live despite also having a wealthy government.
You know how people always warn not to take others' social media posts as reality? That social media posts only tend to highlight the positives and peaks of people's lives and rarely show their struggles or the harsh reality?
Idk man, me being impressed that these folks are able to afford groceries is pretty basic.
In the context of just what’s happening in the past day and even the post we’re discussing this in, I don’t think it’s taking it too far to see that china is doing better for their citizens in some ways than we are. In basic bitch ways like affordable housing or public transportation
