Thank you for bringing it back online, I was worried it might be down for a while! Welcome back :)

Nice to meet everyone by the way, I’m new to SDF, just getting to grips with stuff.
- It wasn’t me (I don’t work for SDF😅)… it was @[email protected]!
I listened to my intrusive thoughts and filled a cheap fountain pen with (dye-based) printer ink.

I hoped for the darkest black, but it actually looks gray when used with a pen :(

But yeah, it works. It feathers and bleeds through a lot on cheap paper, but it works. By that I mean that it bleeds even through 120g/m² printer paper. Maybe I could try drying it a bit first...
Might look good with cyan.
- Oh no. Now I'm thinking about whether I can make fountain pen ink work in my ecotank printer.
  
  I doubt it.
  
  Although, I guess ecotank will have piezoelectric nozzles since they're permanent, so there shouldn't be a problem with how it behaves under heat, but viscosity (if that's the right word) and particle size...

I ended up watching some new anime. Ranma ½ (2024) is kind of bonkers, in a fun way.

SDF is a quirky instance, isn't it? It might go down once in a while, but at least to me, it feels more like a community system than some of the bigger instances. I love that it hasn't made Cloudflare an observer and gatekeeper of our Lemmy activities.
- Hey, thanks for telling me about the Ranma ½ remake. I loved it as a teenager, looking forward to watch the remake.
  
  It's a top-tier remake. Gorgeous animation and lovingly faithful
  
  In that case, I think you'll appreciate the voice cast in this new adaptation.

- Just finished chanting "S.D.F. come back" while kneeling inside a pentagram surrounded by stickers and magnetic tapes. Pretty good overall.

  Oh! That's why. It's SDF, not your neighborhood technodemons. Should have been a bigram, so that the machine spirits could understand without converting numerical bases.

I was just on my backup account on .ml There's some commandline tool i use to sync my subs between the two that runs on my server whenever i do monthly update/backup
