Bob Newhart, Comedy Icon, Dies at 94
Bob Newhart, the genteel comic whose TV series “The Bob Newhart Show” and “Newhart” were huge hits throughout the 1970s and '80s, died Thursday.
My annual Elf re-watch will be sad this year.
22 0 ReplyYeah. His scenes in Big Bang Theory will land harder now, too.
Rest in Peace, Professor Proton.
And if I ever work up the nerve to try watching the Star Wars Christmas special again... well, that probably won't happen anyway.

RIP Bob 😥
6 0 ReplyIf you are under 60, you may not know who he is. Go watch the Bob Newhart show. The comedy is very sharp. Probably a major influence on The Office and that kind of humor.
5 0 Replyfor the uninitiated, the gag "alternative ending" of breaking bad was based on the finale of one of his shows. I'm sure there are other examples but that's the one that springs to mind
3 0 ReplyI've seen him in a few things. Like The Librarian.
EDIT: I should have prefaced that I'm under 40.
3 0 ReplyI use to watch him on Nick at Nite when i was about 10. Even then, i greatly enjoyed his show. Also the Dick Van Dyke show was great.
2 0 ReplyAh, thats why his face looked familar
