I mean, I didn't dislike the other Reddit users that much since I stayed mainly in a small bunch of subs that catered to my hobbies, I'm here because I got pissed at the site administration that killed the API that allowed me to see deleted and removed comments and my favourite app stopped working
Yeah, I am in the same boat. I didn't leave Reddit, reddit essentially left me. I started using Lemmy like 2 or 3 weeks before the API thing took effect, but I didn't believe they would actually go through with it. When I could no longer access Reddit via Baconreader I just stopped Reddit.
Yeah, and the polar opposite of people getting _way_too defensive.
"And in the red corner, wearing judgy pants, former Redditors! And in the blue corner, wearing insecurity pants, more former Redditors!"
"Yes, Bob, we're in for a good one tonight. We expect overdramatic attacks coming out early with overdramatic counters and the unusual defense of letting their opponent know they're going to block them before they do. I don't know who will win tonight and I don't care."
"Right you are, Jim. We expect it to drag out into 134 rounds as some fighters expel way too much time on pedantic attacks that mean nothing to anyone anywhere, but at least their own fragile egos may remain intact. Let's go ring side..."
They're still posting about this stupid shit? I blocked memes a long time ago and I'm so glad I did. It's garbage from reddit spread over to here and I'm not capturing that again. I should just start telling people as a tip to just "block [email protected] specifically"
I'd rather read vitriol than whack pretentious memes of people that want to control people. They should go make their own Parlor so you push your dream of anti humanity and eugenics. Humans are animals deal with it or commit genocide and a never ending war.
I get so many reddit moments on here that I never get on other platforms. What is it about this type of social media platform that attracts the most obnoxious breed of people?
