The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remake Will Reportedly Be Revealed Soon, and Released Not Long After That
Bethesda is reportedly set to announce its The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion remake in the coming weeks and release it soon after.

I see the title - and first thing I think
"Oblivion, now with 16 times the upscalers" in Todd's voices
5 0 ReplyI’ll wait for Skyblivion 🔥
89 0 ReplyYea, fan projects (when there is actual work put into it) are often significantly better than AAA remakes.
2 0 ReplyFallout London, though not 100% finished, was a blast

Anything to avoid discussing TES6.
72 0 ReplyWhat, the announcement trailer from 2018 isn't enough to hold you over until it launches in 2029?
61 0 ReplyI kinda wonder if they even have any good ideas left after Starfield was such a disappointment in the creativity department.

Can't wait for them to remaster skyrim again before TES6
37 0 ReplyYou joke, but I’d totally be down with an update that integrates better graphics technology and reduces modding issues. Ive played through it half a dozen times in VR and 2d and there’s still plenty of content I haven’t done. Only issue I have these days is the small pool of voice actors so every 5th person has the same voice.

i don’t believe you
4 0 ReplyYeah its called skyblivion.
49 0 Replyoblivion is my favorite in the series, but goddammit bethesda stop making remakes. make a make.
46 0 ReplyI mean, Starfield should have been my dream game, but after that...
I dunno. All my enthusiasm for BGS has been sapped, and I adored Oblvion.
35 0 Replythe scope for starfield was just too much, it was doomed to fail from the beginning. i think they'll be fine going back to their TES roots.
12 2 ReplyThe remake is not developed by Bethesda Game Studios

Come on man, gotta get a Morrowind with modern QOL stuff.
1 0 ReplyWhy take a third risk (Fallout 76 and Starfield) on the unknown when you can remake a good thing?
6 0 ReplyFO76 and Starfield were much much more risky than TES6 or FO5 will be.

I don't think they've ever realized that Skyrim was a disappointment with better advertising.
3 9 ReplyTo this day it still has a more active community than any other game they've ever made has ever had.

Mod support? Between this and Skyblivion, the one with better mod support wins.
9 1 ReplyI wonder, can they just cease&desist Skyblivion off the map?
2 0 ReplyYou can send a cease and desist for any reason to anyone at anytime.
But they wouldn't be able to win in court, the eula of both games explicitly allow using their IP in mods

probably non-existent

Aww man, are they going to take down Skyblivion right when its done?
24 0 ReplyProbably the only reason they did it
15 0 ReplyOr, perhaps optimistically, it's to prepare themselves to transition off of their absurdly dated engine.

Bethesda has actually been consistently supportive of Skyblivion, Morroblivion, and Skywind.

2 0 ReplyOh man, I can't wait for them to reveal it, so I can finally know about it.
8 0 ReplyAre they still using their twenty year old engine?
7 4 ReplyNoooo, creation engine 2 is new, it definitely not a ball of bandaids wrapped around the netimmerse engine that was released in 1997.
13 0 ReplyTwenty eight year old engine?
Leonardo DiCaprio would be mortified.

Unreal Engine is 26 years old. id Tech is 30 years old. What's your point?
4 1 ReplyBut it's not made on UE 1, now, is it?

Eh. I just want OGblivion on Android, since that's all I seem to get to play anymore.
2 0 ReplyThat’s exciting. I wanted to play this again recently. I wanted specifically to play with a controller comfortably on a couch. This isn’t as easy as it sounds. My best bet was going to be getting the Xbox 360s digital version.
