I can also give you for 5$ a Month a daily update about the weather up here or I can place things on top of cupboards so your enemies can't reach them.
As a short person I cannot hesitate. I may neither ask, nor wait to be bidden. When an artifact is loosed from the grip of another, I retrieve it with grace and expediency. The knees and the backs of the giants and ancients are precious things that must be preserved. This is the law of the little.
When I bought my house it had been abandoned for years, so I had to remodel the whole thing. When I built the counters and cabinets I accidentally built everything based on my height, so everything in the house is a good 3-4 inches higher than most houses. Everything looks fine and works fine for me, but I have to get a lot of things down for the wife, and we have to have a couple different steps stools around.
Very nice. I have relatives with a house like that and it makes everything easier. I visited a friend last year with vessel sinks: the counter top is standard height but the sinks sit on top: So nice. Meanwhile sometimes my back doesn’t like how much I have to bend to wash my hands in my own bathroom
Well, I was lucky enough to make sure my partner is only about 10 cm shorter than me. But still when I renovated the house, it ended up the way that they cannot reach everything...
I appreciate the giants. I'm very short and need help reaching things regularly. If I was one inch shorter, I'd be considered a little person legally. At least here in the US. I'm 4'11 🥲
I'm of average height, so when I saw a short old lady not able to reach the pepsi at the top of the cooler, I was very happy to get to help. I don't get that opportunity too often
I do ask on planes as regards the overhead bins because it's pretty obvious that it's gonna be near impossible for some people and I want to save them the embarrassment, suffering, and possibly injury to themselves and those around them.
As a short person who often can't reach stuff on the top shelves at work, please offer. I can't ask because I'm working, but I genuinely appreciate everyone who offers to help.
I was once returning from a skiin holiday in Italy. We stopped in a supermarket in Südtirol and an old lady asked me to get her something from the top shelf. Thankfully I speak german so I understood her hut that could have been awkvard.
