Back in the before times, pre-trump, Michelle Obama pushed for staying on a positive message even if the R's were going hard on the negative campaigning.
She was stellar. Beautiful, rocking this severe yet feminine outfit, and giving a great speech.
But for some bizarre reason the chant was not “we’re not going back” instead pushing out a “do something” chant.
It was like going to concert of a favored band, waiting for them to play their #1 hit, and they never did. “Do something” isn’t a good chant. It’s like a song not even good enough for the B side.
Idk who planned that but “we’re not going back” is a heavy hitter. They should use it more not less.
(Context for young people unfamiliar with the record era. Hit music singles used to be sold on single records. The hit song was on the A side. B side was some random stuff from the main record not good enough to be released on its own, for radio.)
Again though, Michelle was fantastic. After her even Barak didn’t hit as hard as usual.
I haven't clicked on the video, but I have seen other similar arguments. If the other side don't play by the rules, you will be disadvantaged by being goody two shoes. However, you would look bad if you go on the extreme (think of the early 20th century when fascists and communists have violent clashes). So play smart and dip your hands into the mud once in a while; there is nothing wrong with it. Franklin Roosevelt was known to be a smooth political operator and had thrown some shades and muds onto his opponents once in a while
And that what made him an enduring politician with a long lasting legacy.
Well at least they've learned that the only way to get anything through the thick skulls of the weirdos, they have to speak a language that they understand.
