I do appreciate when they put actual effot in but with Sponsorblock i rarely see them. This meme still applies for when they get passed sponsorblock though lol

Did you guys know if you VPN through Albania, you don’t see YouTube adverts?

I sure as hell didn’t until a few weeks ago.

The sponsor ads work when they're neatly aligned aligned with the video's concept. It wouldn't budge me to see a manufacturer sponsor a PC build video where one of their products are being used. Or channels like GradeA where they advertise the sponsors in a similar way to their vids.

What breaks it is when you can feel the ad clearly feels like a last minute insert (which it feels like almost all the time). Even the bigger creators out there do this.

Big Money Salvia on Internet Comment Etiquette makes full on short films for his ad reads. They are pretty great.

Me whenever I watch SomeMoreNews and Cody has something for Ground News or he chokes down his favorite drink.

Ice Cream Sandwich, Martincitopants and NakeyJakey have me going back after sponsorblock skips it, it's just so entertaining i'll take the ad at this point

I whitelist tomatoanus in sponsorblock just to follow his ad-read lore. Thats peak advertising.

The sponsor segments in GrayStillPlays' videos are the only ones I remember, mostly because he ran the sponsor merch over with a lawnmower.

SomeMoreNews often gets me

'TomSka and Friends' has good enjoyable ads. They generally only have the one sponsor (Surfshark VPN) but they've done a lot for pushing for more enjoyable ads. Their off the rails skits are ones I don't skip

MiniMinuteMan did a bit where he just juggled while talking about the sponsor and you know what, it fucking worked on me. Jangle those keys for me.

I barely watched any of them, but Sampson Boat Co (the people rebuilding Tally Ho) put together some moderately high-effort sponsor segments, with a melodramatic plot and hammy acting and costumes made out of construction materials and such.

Straight up don't care if an ad if funny or not. I don't give a damn what companies have to say anymore. Lies, it's all lies and deceit and I will call them out every damn time and actively avoid them

Bringus Studios had a video yesterday on the alpha I Dec kit for the original devkit. Not only was the segway pretty slick but it had his signature humor included which actually made me watch through half the ad. First time I didn't skip the sponsor which I think says something about his writing and delivery

I like Steve Mould's ad reads. He does science content and seems to only advertise products and services he uses, so his ads are mostly straight "this is what I like about the product, what makes it different to alternatives, this is why I use it, this is the stuff they told me to say"

He's one of the few YouTubers I actually believe when he says a product is good

Squire's ads are better than the actual vids of some other YTers...

Honestly, Grim Kleapers ads are almost a highlight to me. Such a memelord, wacky and entertaining.
