Sonos' Privacy Policy Change Suggests It Might Sell Your Data
Popular audio company Sonos recently updated its U.S. privacy policy to make a small but notable change that seemingly puts customer data at risk. As...
My general rule is: “if they have data they can sell, sooner or later they will.”

As someone who listens to the earnings calls, the shareholders are forcing changes on the company and it is showing as disregard for their customers.
24 0 ReplyOh no, the poor company!
5 0 ReplyWell in a away it is being gutted from outside. These "shareholders" are just bad faith actors extracting short term value.

We're a Sonos family. Listening to Sonos right now as a matter of fact. But this really bugs me. I don't allow voices control in my home so was interested when Sonos brought out their own version. I've contemplated rolling it out, but now likely won't.

5 0 ReplyGreat. Now Sonos is crying. I hope you're happy.

I sold all my Sonos speakers after the app release debacle. I think I am getting out at the right time.
10 0 ReplyOut of interest, what did you replace them with? I’ll be looking for a new setup later this year.
6 0 Reply@emmanuel_car @UTJD16 @YaksDC I highly recommend #AudioPro 🤩
For example, for the Sonos Move, the Audio Pro A15 produces a warm and very pure sound, has many features, but is (in my opinion) not a #privacy risk.

Airmusic+ your favorite apps to listen.
Speakers are blocked from the internet and the interface is not as janku as the Sonos one. Bye bye Sonos shitshow.
1 0 ReplyLmao it's called airmusic+? Hold on tight, with that name they will never do exactly what you expect them to do in one year.
