Don’t pay too much attention to the Marvels detractors. I went this last week for my birthday and it was a lot of fun.
This was pretty visible in Ms. Marvel, but Marvels cements that Iman Vellani is as inspired of casting as any of the early avengers. Carol gets a bit more of a chance to become more in touch with the humanity she’s lost. (I don’t disagree that she felt a bit wooden in Captain Marvel, but I thought it worked for her journey. Sort of like the opposite of Dr. Manhattan loosing his humanity). Monica gets the short shrift in character development, but she still has a few good moments, she suffers because of the short run time, she’s not given as much room to bloom with the other leads. The return of Goose is a lot of fun.
Yeah I feel like their huge rush the past couple years was Disney pushing for Disney+ content too hard. I’m hoping they lay off a bit and go with more of a Disney+ is meant to host content approach rather than the content is produced to fill Disney+ thing that they’ve been doing.
This whole time I’ve felt like the multiverse saga happening at the same time they got the X-Men back isn’t a coincidence. I think we’ll get back to focusing on the main timeline once it’s resolved, but they’ll have had the chance to pick and chose which characters will be in that timeline.
I feel like Deadpool 3 is going to advance this idea heavily. If it’s going to be the only 2024 movie they can push Deadpool back to December for all I care as long as it’s awesome. :)
F4, Thunderbolts, and Daredevil. I'm really behind on the last couple of years so I need to catch up. Also looking forward to the Wolverine game but that's another year or two.
I thought it said "Comty". XDXD I'm not really hyped on Marvel at the moment. Gonna need some real bangers to capture my attention. I haven't watched Loki yet, but I heard it was good.
