Satanic Temple after school club wins $200k settlement from Hellertown school district
The club with the motto Educatin' with Satan has to be treated like any other student group, according to the settlement.
The Lehigh Valley school district that tried to ban an after-school Satan Club from meeting on its property earlier this year has agreed to pay $200,000 to cover attorney fees. The school will also give the club the same access to school facilities as “comparable groups.”
In the settlement finalized Thursday between the Saucon Valley School District and The Satanic Temple, the district also agreed to not retaliate or discriminate against club members, families or volunteers “on the basis of their viewpoint” or for the “exercise of their First Amendment rights.”

It seems like they found their way to the "and find out" half of the equation.
It astonishes me how many grown adults think that picking an unnecessary feud with a bunch of teenagers is somehow going to go well for them.
If they want these kids to find their view of enlightenment, they could go deal with the glaring issues in their view of enlightenment.

The Lehigh Valley School district is rough around the edges. My cousin faced retaliation from the top because they outpaced the system there.
Fuck that shit. The only reason they did this was to spare the school district.

Apparently, Hellertown, Lehigh or Saucon depending on whether you read the headline, the first paragraph or the second paragraph.
Lehigh Valley is the name of the area. The Philly area is also called the Delaware Valley, as a comparison.

It's confusing and poorly phrased. The school district is named "Saucon Valley School District". It's in the Lehigh Valley area (which is a large area). Hellertown is a town in the district.
So when it says "Lehigh Valley school district" it's referring to the location not the name.
Saucon Valley School District, and Hellertown is one of the towns that is within that district.

Growing up, i had never thought the satanic temple would have been the good guys!
The Satanic Temple has only been around for 10 years. While TST is amazing, people generally think of the Church of Satan instead (they were the posers established by a self-righteous, bigoted magician in the 60's.). The two are not at all related or alike except for the motif of their names.
