Man puts his head in Geneva's famous water jet, currently in hospital
Apparently he didn't learn the first time and went back for more
It's people like this that deserve America's health care bills.
58 16 ReplyNobody deserves American health care bills. Nobody.
57 1 ReplyAgreed. Im fine with my tax dollars going to doctors for practice fixing dumbasses before getting to me.

That's a possibility. The guy acted grossly negligent and thus the accident insurance can reduce the coverage and in some cases even deny it completely.

I see the jet quite often and think "Wonder what would happen if you jumped in that"
Thanks to this daft cunt, I know now
I mean the jet is about 140m / 460ft high, to give you an idea of how powerful it is
Edit - corrected numbers, thanks!
33 3 Reply140m high and 200km/h or 500 liters/second. Close look on YT for the non GVA people https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmt9GQSCcCU
I really don't get it, you can feel its power when you get to the barrier. This thing reeks of "do not get closer" feeling.
Yet, that dude decided to kiss it. He could have won the 2023 Darwin award but he was very lucky.
15 0 ReplySorry I forgot to convert the 500 litres per second
You guys over the pond, that's 2.28 washing machines per second
12 0 ReplyIt was around 8:00 p.m. when a man in his twenties broke through the Jet d’eau’s security barrier and put his head on the nozzle. He was then thrown violently backwards.
After coming to his senses, the young man tried to hang on to the jet. A gesture which earned him to be propelled several meters high before falling on the slab.
If I'm reading this right, did he get tossed backwards, not learn anything, then decide to go for it again?

"20 minutes"? Is that some news show like "60 minutes" but shorter?
8 0 ReplyIt’s a free (money by ads) paper news thingy, which you can read while using public transport. Not very high level press but cheap little articles.
6 0 ReplyYou got your answer for the 20 minutes.
But we do have a show named 52 minutes, and it is usually a little bit shorter than 52 minutes...
