For those out of the Reddit loop (good!), the frontpage is full of subreddits banning Twitter links. Some even ban Facebook, Instagram, and Threads.
Spez would have been at the inauguration right next to Elon and Bezos if he'd been invited.
Lots of buzz about the fediverse on reddit. A lot of comments about it were removed from some subreddits.
This is probably only gaining traction because little pissboy is butthurt about the snub.

Next scene: the big boys give spez a spanking, and the link ban is forbidden.

You got me beat, I briefly had one, for all of maybe three months - 15 years ago. Deleted it with prejudice when I realized what they were doing, what a nightmare.
Also, I will believe the OP when I see it. It would be a refreshing change of pace to see Elon Musk suffer consequences for anything at all but I'm scarcely holding my breath.

Not all of them. I saw that members of the Hearthstone subreddit's mod team have come down hard on the side of Twitter, and don't see any issue with the current behavior. I wouldn't be surprised if the same was true of a lot of the smaller, more niche subreddits.
I don't keep tabs on any of the larger subreddits anymore, but I also wouldn't be surprised if some of them decided to stay with X. A lot of the people still modding are Spez bootlickers, and Spez LOVES Musk. We might even see a sitewide rule from Spez to force Twitter links to remain allowed.

I remember enjoying that game till blizzard decided they align with dictatorships that censor the desire for freedom. I legit never went back after the boycott and knowing this new detail really reaffirmed that.
