The memo follows an executive order Trump signed on his first day ordering a sweeping dismantling of the federal government’s diversity and inclusion programs.
WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump’s administration is directing that all federal diversity, equity and inclusion staff be put on paid leave, and that agencies develop plans to lay them off, according to a memo Tuesday from the Office of Personnel Management.
Down, down, down we go. Like a child destroying every sand castle on the beach.
I mean it really really sucks but hey paid leave to figure out your life is at least giving these people a fighting shot at still helping their communities.
At least these people can go make a difference elsewhere while still being paid.
Or at least I hope. I don't put anything past these Trump Admin assholes like not actually paying them while on "paid leave."
Hey at the very least they can find work elsewhere or start their own non profits. I'd love a paid vacation before getting fired, instead of just... fired.

The staff responsible for adding those words have been removed.
Right. It leaves out the fact that the paid leave precedes the gutting of all federal DEI offices.
The language in the order also encourages people to call out any activity which might mask or obscure efforts to erase DEI such as code words. Scary stuff.
