Former US ambassador to Israel David Friedman says he will brief Trump on plan for Palestinians to be treated 'like Puerto Ricans'
The US has a “biblical” duty to support Israel’s annexation of the occupied West Bank, former US President Donald Trump’s ambassador to Israel argues in a new book, unveiling a plan for “one Jewish state" that he said he would share with Trump.
“President Trump has often said that he was indifferent to one state or two states - whatever the parties might agree to,” former US ambassador David Friedman writes in the book, One Jewish State: The Last, Best Hope to Resolve the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict.
“His goals always were practical and targeted toward tangible improvements in the quality of life. I believe that if Israel will support this plan, he will as well,” according to a copy of the book obtained by The Forward.
Friedman argues the US should support Israel’s annexation “based first and foremost on biblical prophecies and values”, saying that such a policy “hearkens back to basic Judeo-Christian values of kindness, human dignity, humility and prosperity”.
Friedman told The Forward he will share his annexation plan with Trump “at the appropriate time”.
"Biblocal prophecies," you say? Hmm. What prophecy in the Bible pertains to what's supposed to happen when Jews are in complete control of the Holy Land? It couldn't possibly be that they believe they need to support Israel so that Armageddon happens and they get raptured up into heaven, could it?
Nah. That'd be completely irrational and would show that the people who believe that have no right to be deciding policy for the future of the planet since they're planning on leaving it as soon as possible.

He said one Jewish state for a reason. And it isn't a "one state solution" reason. It's the reason so many evangelicals support Israel: they want to banish all Jews in the world to Israel because they think that's one of the steps needed to bring Jesus back.
I don’t think we should be taking advice on anything from religious people. It simply doesn’t make sense to listen to people who are delusional at best, and maniacal at worst
Edit and I think it’s inherently antisemitic to say that the only reason the Jewish people deserve a homeland is because of religion. No, Jews deserve a place to call their own, and it’s fair that it should be where it is currently because of their historic ties to the region. Neighboring ME countries should accept it and move on. The rise of Zionism had, and still has, roots in European antisemitism, so I don’t believe this Judeo Christian fraternity for a second.
Well they're busy shitting all over the constitution, democracy, the rule of law, common fucking decency, common sense, voters, and the English language - the establishment clause was bound to catch some splatter.
