111 1 ReplyIMO 离谱 is closer to "eccentric", "quirky", and "unusual" than "outragous". 离谱 is certainly not a good word, but it is mellow enough that you can use it to joke about your friend, unlike "outrages".
Edit: of course, I am not saying Trump is just "quirky"," and "eccentric", I am merely explaining the word 离谱.
