  • @just_kitten Ah yes that's very graphic. Plus the handling is like "here's your piece of meat, five bucks please"

  • @bull @halibutherring what are you trying to block? YouTube ads? AFAIK they are served from the same CDN as YouTube videos are served from and it's next to impossible blocking them.

I run a PiHole setup at home and never been able to remove the ads completely.

I've also tried NextDNS: https://nextdns.io/ but again, minor improvements

  • @Duenan very tasty šŸ˜‹ I honestly don't know why the technique I use with normal chicken eggs to easily peel them doesn't work with quail eggs.

Technique: boil the eggs starting with boiling water then rinse them in cold water. Works every time.

  • @Force_majeure122 they are more expensive if you compare them weight wise. Nutritionally speaking AFAIK they are higher in just about every nutrition factor compared to a chicken egg but given that you don't really eat them every day it's more of a novelty anyway.

We used to keep quails at home when I was a kid and had their eggs often. Go great with salads

  • @Duenan @CEOofmyhouse56 frozen chicken and pasta with hard boiled quail eggs. Hardest effort was peeling those eggies šŸ„š

  • @Peregrinus totally agree. I also believe it works great with their education, helping settle all the learning done on the last term. We all need a break after all.

  • @jezbeenz enjoy! It's so nice and warm over here that the thought of moving north crosses my mind every time I come up.

    Maybe when I retire šŸ‘“

  • @bot001 Swapping the cold Melbourne today for some warmth up north. Call me a traitor. But I'll be back. Can't handle the heat for too long and gotta cool my head eventually.
