What scales do you use?
I managed to break my scales over the weekend. So was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a good budget set
The Bank of England has kept rates unchanged amid growing concerns about the impact on the economy.

The surprise decision comes as the Bank of England says price rises are slowing faster than expected.

Looks like that is happening again :/

I bought new ice cube moulds for iced coffee at the beginning to the summer.
They have not been used yet. Weather has been miserable (I missed the one week of heat whilst abroad)
I love dogs of all breeds and sizes and I'm sure most of the time these are fine to be around. But this breed literally only exists to circumvent the exists banned breeds laws so I don't understand why the list can't be updated to include them.
Prices paid by UK renters rose by 5.3% on average in the year to July - the highest level seen since 2016.

It would be interesting to see a breakdown of pay ranges where this wage growth is happening.
We've been told no pay rises because of "current economic conditions" but I'm sure the execs have had theirs
Strong pay growth means the Bank of England could raise interest rates again in September, from the current rate of 5.25%.
The jobless rate rose from 4% to 4.2%, while the number of people in employment ticked lower.
Good to see the worst off will be hit the most as always.

BBC News - UK wages grow at record rate

Ok strange, looks to be a kbin problem. I don't see it on any Lemmy instance but on your instance I see that and on kbin.social I get another weird banner (not nsfw at least)
Wtf it's not for me (I haven't actually even set a banner).
Mind sharing a screenshot?

That's because you're technically not paying for your own pension. You pay for the current pension then the next generation will pay for yours.
Whole thing needs an overhaul but I wouldn't trust any of them to do it correctly
Triple lock and more pensioners than ever.
I look forward to not getting back anything that I pay in while the current people on state pension benefit way more than they contributed

I use my aeropress scoop for this for whatever brew method I decide to use that day.
No idea if you can buy just the scoop but I'm a fan of it. However, I'm pretty sure a lot od people hate that scoop.

Seems like .world is where all the big communities are but I'm sure there's other instances with some cool discussions going on

It was always going to happen but an instance being the defacto default for Lemmy is a bad thing.
There really needs to be a tool to help people pick an instance, but even then people would just flock to the general instances like .world anyway

$799 for a capsule machine is madness
Yeah I'm in that one as well. The joy of federation.
We've got most teams covered here in feddit.uk. Not that active but good to have I think.
Jump in the orange end and come out the blue end. Fast travel unlocked. Who needs public transport
I still have a gut feeling they'll claw back support by the time of a GE
Most cafes I'll get a milk drink, flat white usually. If I manage to come across a speciality cafe I'll order a V60 if they have it.
At home 99% of the time black coffee. In the summer sometimes I'll make a Greek Frappé
The Prismo is, the other is for cold drip coffee
