  • Just a heads up, if you'll put 2 spaces at the end of each line, it will be interpreted as a line break and format properly.

    Tip?
  • I… uh… just uploaded it using Voyager. It wasn’t a gif on my phone, I don’t know how or why it got converted.

My apologies, but if this is the worst thing that happened to you today….

  • Rudy Giuliani still waiting to be paid by Trump, documents reveal
  • Even if Trump paid him the $2 million he says that he’s owed, he’d still be $146 million short of what he owes the 2 poll workers that he lost the lawsuit to.

  • The new release is great!
  • Yep, were being trolled.

  • LPT requests : Money savings
  • I use 2 online savings sites.

One is Acorns, which connects to your bank account and takes the roundup amounts when you buy something and puts it into an account. For example, if you buy something that’s $2.79, it puts the roundup $.11 in your account, then invests that money to help it grow. You can choose whether your investment is safe and produces low relatively safe returns, moderate risk/return, or high risk that can produce high return or can lose money. I have mine set to moderate, and I get decent returns.

The other used to be called Digit, but now it’s called Oportun. You connect it to your bank account, and it monitors your spending. It takes some out and puts it in savings based on how much you have in your account and how much it thinks you can spare. The thing I like is that it all happens in the background, and I don’t have to do anything. It just saves money for me. Right after I get paid it takes larger chunks than at the end of the month when it might only take a few cents.

If I need my money back, Acorns takes about a week because they have to sell off my stocks and then transfer the money back to my bank account. Oportun usually has any money I withdraw back in my bank account on the next business day. Both of them are FDIC insured.

  • The new release is great!
  • Wait, are we being trolled?

  • The new release is great!
  • Same for me. How did you get back in?!?

  • What is the best movie to watch without sound?
  • Mel Brooks’ Silent Movie. I guess you’ll miss the best bit in it though, where the only person who speaks is the mime Marcel Marceau.

  • what Lemmy communities don't exist but you wish they did?
  • I mean, yeah, but the question was about what do I wish was on Lemmy.

  • what Lemmy communities don't exist but you wish they did?
  • There’s a whole sports server at fanatacus.social, but it doesn’t seem to get much engagement for some reason.

  • Odd feature request: navigating forwards and backwards from any edge
  • You can swipe back from the left to the main screen, but I don’t think you can swipe from the right side to go back to where you came from.

  • what Lemmy communities don't exist but you wish they did?
  • I wish there was more sports engagement, specifically college and pro football. It’s about the only thing that keeps me going back over to the other place.

  • Walmart thinks this will stop theft.
  • Look close, they’re some kind of hired security guard dressed up to look like police. They’re not real police… which probably won’t stop them from acting like they are.

  • The Contestant: Reality TV show saw man live on competition prizes
  • After watching it, it was insane what they put that poor guy through. It seems like he has finally found his purpose in life though, which I'm happy for.

  • The Contestant: Reality TV show saw man live on competition prizes
  • Wow, I’ve never heard of this, but the documentary is on Hulu, so I’m going to give it a watch.

  • For the dudes here... What "girl" song you secretly love?
  • Yeah, that’s exactly what I was thinking too….

  • Republicans push conspiracy theories after Hunter Biden verdict: ‘A fake trial’
  • They had two talking points ready to go depending on the outcome. Talking Point A, he’s acquitted so the whole thing is rigged against Trump, and Taking Point B, he’s convicted, but it was all a sham to make Trump look bad.

It doesn’t matter what happens in any situation, Repubs go to their spreadsheet, look up the talking point they need to use to make themselves look like the victim, and spread it. Rinse, lather, repeat.

  • I can get behind using AI for this, it’s really cool!

    App Status?

Just wondering what the status of this app is. The TestFlight build will expire in a week, there isn’t an App Store version, and there hasn’t been a post or comment from the dev in 4 months.

    @gromdroid is it dead?

    Yeah UPS, that's proof

The photo that UPS provided to prove that they delivered my package. I mean, sure, it’s my front porch, but they could have included the package.

    Disappointing

I tried to sign up for this instance, but my signup is still stuck in "processing". I tried signing up with a different username & email, and I got a popup that said sign ups are closed. I emailed Jonah at two different email addresses that I found for him, sent him a message through Lemmy and a message through Matrix to ask if I could get my original sign up approved. I got no response to anything.

I noticed that the instance was updated to 0.19.0, but not 0.19.1 that came soon after and fixed some problems with the .19 release.

I haven't seen any posts/updates from Jonah since the update, and it seems like he has abandoned the instance. I really wanted to move here, but it doesn't seem like it's being maintained, and that's disappointing.

www.usatoday.com Trump paid me to find voter fraud. Then he lied after I found 2020 election wasn't stolen.

My company's contract with the Trump campaign obligated us to deliver evidence of voter fraud. The small amount of fraud I found was bipartisan.

[Feature Request] Long Press Comment to See Parent

This is a feature I really miss from Apollo. If I long pressed on a comment, it would show the parent comment that it was a reply to. It's helpful when you're way down a chain and see a reply, but you've no idea what it's replying to. I'd really love to see this come to Voyager.
