Lore: the Battle of Hope's Peak Academy
  • I think you should draw one nice version of your flags and then copy paste it as needed. Pixel art could give something nice and recognizable without requiring too much work. Also the PLA has a different flag than the PRC's. Same thing for the Red Army.

    " 1Junko lost " lol.

You misspelled Volkssturm, if that's what it was supposed to mean.

  • The battle of Moscow (lore)
  • I see, that's certainly an interesting reason behind a war. Kinda accelerationist, that's sus.

Is there some kind of ritualized human sacrifice in this religion ?

I'm not really a fan of Dune, so I don't understand a lot of references, but I get the idea about the Speakers. (After visiting the wiki)

  • The battle of Moscow (lore)
  • Yeah I suppose that make sense. I was just under the impression that they all fucking died. The reasons behind the lack of heavy equipment are sensible.

I'm not a big fan of armies overly reliant on human shields, as that always feels more like something you see in propaganda than something that can realistically happen. Especially things like not giving guns to soldiers. I mean even if they're disposable politically or something like that, you still have to feed them, clothe them etc. Arming them won't add much to the logistic strain, especially considering most countries have a virtually infinite supply of small arms, the only limit being how far back in time you're willing to look. That was just a rant, don't take it too seriously.

Something interesting you could do in term of world building, is to give your countries different men/division ratios. It's a small detail, but it goes a long way to show that there's a difference between each country's military doctrine and organisation.

I find it also weird that an outnumbered force of armed civilians managed to have less casualties than a more professional, if disposable, force. And I would rather avoid thinking about the nightmare that would be organizing an operational encirclement with untrained civilians. Are those red army civilians at least militas or reservists ? Or are there more professional troops in that army ?

Could you please explain to me what Despair Screamers are too ?

  • The battle of Moscow (lore)
  • Wtf happened ? That's a crazy k/d ratio.

I also think it's unlikely for the red army to have literally no support units. Usually artillery and armored vehicles are listed separately. It's pretty weird for only one side to have artillery, and for no vehicles or airplanes to be involved at all in a battle of such size. Not a big deal all in all, but it would add a lot of flavor.

  • Vic3, CK3 or Stellaris?
  • I personally prefer Stellaris. Vic3 is optimized like shit, lacks a lot of basic features and has little replayability. And while there are interesting mods, none managed to really redeem the game in my eyes.

Ck3 is pretty good, I'm just not really into the dynasty and personal relationship stuff. That one is also better on steam, as there are many great mods on the steam workshop and the dlcs are few and unremarkable. You won't miss much by only buying the base game.

Stellaris is better for nation building, with an economic system that's somehow better than Vic3. The politic side of things is rather lacking however. Overall it's a balanced game, with good economy, diplomacy and warfare. Like I said the only subpart department is politics, in which Vic3 is way better. The workshop is also very good for this game, but with the price of all dlcs piracy is also a good choice.

Note: Stellaris' frequent hotfixes and such mean that you're unlikely to be able to enjoy multiplayer if you have a pirated version. From personal experience.

  • How do you come to terms with death?
  • I was going to answer "I try not to think about it", but then I saw your last line. Now I have to give an actual answer.

I personally think that death is like before one was born, nothingness. I would say that that belief has helped shape my mentality that you should do everything you want to while you still can. There's nothing afterwards, so gotta hurry up and live while you're alive.

None of us is going to live forever, we won't see how things end up, and maybe that's for the better. I get the fear of missing out on history, that's something that can't be remedied. Just try to imagine the future, remain optimistic, do what you want, find a purpose in life, and you will leave this world peacefully.

  • What are your thoughts on the French riots?
  • I don't think much is gonna come out of it yet. There are riot of that intensity twice a year on average in France. Nonetheless I support this movement, even if it's not a big thing in my area of the country.

It's things like those that little by little weaken the establishment and build class consciousness. Eventually one such movement will reach the breaking point, but I don't think we're there yet. Maybe I'm wrong, we'll see.

PS: The revolution is most likely to come from impoverished minorities such as immigrants in France, especially as they and their descendants are absolutely massive in term of numbers.

Also libs are already accusing Russia and China of funding the movement lol.

I was wondering if anyone had written or read interesting stuff and could share it here.
