I wish there was a better way to navigate the menus. Being a mage is SO time consuming honestly. As much as I try to give alteration a stronger shot, I almost always end up going full destro because the time it takes to buff up and attack vs just going nuts is kind of annoying.

You could be what is called a "sex-positive asexual." It basically means how it sounds. It does sound a bit like that, based off your description though.

It's kinda funny. Once you get to experience the act it's kinda like.... "this is it, huh? The pinnacle of human euphoria. Huh." I think that's where it starts for a lot of people. They start to question of they're "broken," or whatever, because they don't share the same admiration of it as their peers. That is how it felt for me anyway.

Ace doesn't mean being a lone wolf. The only thing it really means is that you experience little to no sexual attraction. You could still be heteromantic, homoromantic, or somewhere in between. For example I'm heteromantic ace. I'm in a "normal-passing" relationship. I have a bf that I've been together with for almost 10 years now. No one would know if they didn't truly know me; and truthfully, no one knows me that well anyway.

It's tough being an ace in the dating pool, I get it. Your own dating pool seems so slim. But even if you don't find another ace to date, that's okay. And not only that but there's also a spectrum of gray ace to explore too.

What you explained in your original post makes me think that there was a slight consideration of aro instead. Aromatic is something a bit different but nevertheless important to understand as well.

I will literally be so upset if lemmy incorporates a karma feature. Such a useless stat that so many people obsessed over.

Does that mean that is a viable possibility that is being explored for the future? I would be interested to see how that works out in if there would need to be an "acceptance" from the admission of another instance, for example. It would certainly help lighten the load of users.

This might be a hot take but...

Is the interface really that terrible? I feel that if it were as easily accessible aa reddit or even facebook then we would be bombarded with so many brain dead posts by users who don't understand how to get through a computer and therefore the quality of posting and discussion goes way down.

I'm probably wrongly stereotyping and judging here but I had to say it.

There's literally not anything left on reddit that I wish to see anymore. It's all controlled and bloated and designed to keep you addicted and angry. I've been increasingly bored and annoyed with the platform for a while, so this made the transition to lemmy even easier. Honestly, a lot of people are better off without it.

I'd love to see an /r/accccccceeeeeeee pop up somewhere....

Sadly doing nothing is easier so most people will never be proactive.

I think a lot of it comes down to people who want to have a like minded experience; which can be good and bad. It essentially enforces to them that they're in the right regardless without seeing the big picture. And that can be dangerous.
