We made the trade!
  • I was extremely worried we were sending Hog or one of our top prospects. We sent 2 low end prospects that probably would never see nhl ice. Frees up 5.5 for next year which is great.

Resigning petey and hronek should be top priority for management. If we can get lindholm to sign to that'd be great. Or if petey doesn't want to sign, we have a decent replacement in lindholm and can trade petey for a haul. But I hope that's not the case.

I think this move really shows petey that we want to compete.

  • GDT: Canucks (13-5-1) @ Avalanche (11-6-0) 7PM Pacific

Gonna be a good game. Boys have to keep their momentum going and come in strong, Avalanche isn't gonna let us walk away with an easy one. Another thing to note is that Makar is sitting at 27pts, and with 3 games to go until the 20 game mark, could be joining our captain with the other elite defensive company 30pt in 20. Would be nice if we could spoil that a little and keep him off the score sheet. ;)

    Stanchies: Canucks top Senators 5-2

Wasn't as good of a game as previous ones, but they still pulled out a win.

Linden: Canucks may have passed on Pettersson if Benning had his way

Benning was always praised for his drafting, and wanting Pettersson as his guy, but according to Linden, he would've picked someone else. Think Benning would've preferred Glass? Vilardi? Those were the names heard around then by most. No way we would've been happy with anyone taken after Pettersson.

  • Yeah kind of seemed like the way the Canucks players were pushing in on him that maybe it could be argued his leg was being kicked involuntarily, but there wasn't a really clear shot of what was happening behind him.

They say things come in threes, and not just because there’s three stars for every NHL game. Pius Suter has had one goal in each of the last three games, the Canucks battled back against a tough Edmonton team to score three goals in the first period, and they have

Boys are on fire. They're playing with lots of confidence. I love it. Those black skate jerseys look so damn good too.

    GDT: Canucks (8-2-1) vs. Oilers (2-7-1) 6 Nov 2023 7PM PST

Canucks looking to keep their streak alive, Oilers looking to improve their record. Hopefully the Canucks come out and play hard because I'm sure the Oilers are frustrated and want a win.

    I miss him...
  • Yeah it was the first time I managed to catch the game and be able to watch the intermission panel and I was wondering where Bieksa was. Missed the part where they said he was doing an interview. I didn't mine Bisonette but I love listening to Bieksa. Dude is definitely the best part of that crew. They better keep him around for a long time.

  • Canucks beat Dallas 2 - 0, Demko earns 5th career shutout

Goals from both Suter and Pettersson. Great game from the team, good seeing Demko get the shutout after losing it against the Sharks.

Rumour: Canucks looking to bolster defense through trade, still interested in Bear

Our defense could definitely use some depth. I liked Bear last year and it'd be nice to bring him back on a cheap deal.

Quinn Hughes piles up five points as Canucks trounce Sharks 10-1

Canucks scored as many goals this game than Sharks have all season. Poor Sharks. Honestly didn't know what to expect this game, usually Canucks are quick to hand bad teams their first win, or break their losing streak. Refreshing to see them come out hard and not let up. 7 - 2 - 1 through 10 so far.

Preseason GDT: Canucks @ Oilers Sept27

Hopefully the game tonight goes better than last. Still expecting a lot of fringe AHL players, they didn't make a whole lot of cuts after last game.

www.sportsnet.ca Having 'flipped the page' on tough few years, Canucks' Boeser motivated for camp

Struggling mentally and emotionally for most of the last two seasons, Brock Boeser said he feels better than he has in years. Now, he just needs his physical health to match his mental well-being.

Having 'flipped the page' on tough few years, Canucks' Boeser motivated for camp

Really hoping he has a good season this year. It can be tough getting over the loss of such an important family member like a parent, and it's completely understandable that he would blame hockey for missing time with his dad. Looking forward to seeing how he moves forward this year.
