How does everyone here feel about foldable phones?
  • For my own tastes (and budget) the Fold form factor isn't too interesting to me. I like a more compact phone. So I was just looking into the Flip 5 as a possible purchase.

Unfortunately I saw the camera setup is worse than the base S23 on all fronts (main lens, no telephoto, selfie cam). I knew the battery would be a bit worse, but I'm not a heavy SOT so it didn't bother me.

Adding in at least a bit of deserved worrying over longevity and I decided to pass. I really thought this could be the year and if the camera array was a bit better I likely would have pulled the trigger.

  • How are you accessing Lemmy now? Browser or app?
  • I tried quite a few: Jerboa, wefwef, Thunder, Liftoff, browser (Brave)

Ultimately chose Connect which functions great and has some good customizations I appreciate

    Patiently waiting for Sync

  • Are you guys pumped for the Asus Zenfone 10?
  • I thought leaks had suggested that the phone will be >6" this time around? Has it been confirmed to be sub 6 now? I was very interested in the 9, but ultimately camera performance and update policy pushed me in another direction.
I had read the >6 rumor a while back so being closer to launch I guess 5.9 is more reliable? The only source the article mentions is winfuture.de and I don't know much about the site

  • Is there a seamless way of linking to other instances?
  • Kind of a related question so I think it can tag onto this post:

I am using sub.rehab to find communities corresponding to subreddits I would visit. My account is made on lemmy.world (also made a kbin account).

So whenever I see a community from .world I can subscribe, but if it's from another instance I am not able to as I don't have an account there (.ml for instance).

Is this the same sort of functionality being discussed as being added to the newest update or is there another means to subscribe to a community in another instance?
