Either you all are being intentionally disingenuous, or you're significantly misinformed. There's a difference between passive support of a ally doing terrible things and actively starting a war yourself and doing terrible things.
Honest question, is funnelling them money still passive support? I understand aid for Ukraine defending their soil, but I'm not ok with sending my money to help Israel do a genocide.
Thanks for being sincere. I only used the term passive in the sense that we're not sending our own troops over to actively participate. I agree with you on the money transfer issue. I also consider it noteworthy that a lot of the legislation for Israel financial support not only excludes support for Ukraine, but requires the funds to be diverted from useful domestic purposes.
Almost as if it's in some countries' interests for people to get distracted from following the war in Ukraine until Trump gets elected and that some people are deliberately using the situation in Gaza to do just that.
Putin is bad, Biden is bad. For different reasons obviously. I live in Canada right now and I'd say Trudeau would be equally bad for supporting genocide.
My point is that you're making a false equivalency by comparing the two and just saying they're both bad. Adding Trudeau to the mix doesn't change that. Sure, you can compare him to Biden, but comparing both to Putin is disingenuous.
It's like saying a papercut and a severed artery are both bad. One is significantly worse than the other.
Equally bad?? Putin is trying to criminalize LGBT+ right now. What is comparable to that that Biden has ever done? That is one thing, but we could go down the list if you want.
