Additionally, it’s also nice to not see much of this trend of self-censoring words that make advertisers uncomfortable - it’s one of my least favorite things about modern social media. Words have power, and they should be engaged with, even if they’re uncomfortable.
Sticking asterisks in the middle of words for reasons is galling and frankly, dumb.
You can find that on Reddit, but now it gets you permanently banned. And that's why after 12 years of reddit I'm here. It's a much nicer place. Currently less conversation, but decent quality.
You should be able to find unique OC in some communities that don't rely on Reddit reposts, like [email protected] (classic shameless plug), but I'm sure more communities will make the switch/start organically diverging as they grow.
