It’s kind of evening out now. It was a fad for a lot of users that came over, but there’s now a good amount of westerners like myself that have stuck it out, are learning a lot, and making connections. I wasn’t a TT user myself and instead was simply trying to find a new way to connect with people and avoid the negativity that permeates western social media.
I work from home, but I cherish my paid shits. Otherwise for 95% of the work day, I’ve lately been in bed watching a Dark Souls Remastered playthrough. I get up occasionally to do some work. If you sort my department’s work load by quantity, I’m consistently the highest performer, with the lowest performer often doing 20-30% of what I do.
I have no fucking clue what this person does all day, especially in the office. When I review their work, it’s shit. They’re barely literate (English is their first language.) It’s embarrassing.
I was an hour ago, but now I'm back at my desk scrolling through Lemmy and Mastodon while following cycling (Volta ao Algarve) on my laptop. Social media manager sure is one hell of a job. I think I'll get another coffee
