This seems like a slippery slope, they'll start with banning communities like that, where users have genuinely threatened violence, then they'll just start banning all communities which oppose them by making up excuses that get more comical as time goes on, before basically all dissent on it, is gone
I mean I saw some posts advocating for turning DOGE employees into "pink mist" and going to visit them at their home. I don't see enough Reddit to know if it's a problem in other subs but the fact I saw those messages means they were getting good reach.
The mods usually remove those comments quickly enough, allthough most of them were just "the people doing this have addresses and names" phrased differently.
That's what they are saying, I was browsing it and sure the sentiment was spicey... But "open calls for violence" is hyperbolic.
This is censorship of public sentiment again. Same as they did with Luigi. This is the norm going forward. They don't like seeing people uniting around the idea that we don't care if parasites die... In fact we celebrate it!
Elon musk complained (quoted an account totally not operated by him) about r/whitepeopletwitter (reddit equivalent of [email protected]) commenting stuff along the lines of "these people are doing a lot of shit for people who are flammable" and "these people have names and addresses". As usual, spez only did anything because a lot of people were complaining.
