Microsoft Probing If DeepSeek-Linked Group Improperly Obtained OpenAI Data
Microsoft Corp. and OpenAI are investigating whether data output from OpenAI’s technology was obtained in an unauthorized manner by a group linked to Chinese artificial intelligence startup DeepSeek, according to people familiar with the matter.
Kinda sucks when people steal your data without consent, doesn't it? If true, I find the hypocrisy so god damn funny.
And I suppose OpenAI "properly" obtained their training data?
We'd rather look incompetent at security than incompitent at AI. We have to justify our expensive product...if Deepseek can make something similar then they must have stolen it.
