The most emotional, tantrum throwing male I know recently informed me that women are emotional and irrational creatures that cannot think straight due to their plight. Zero self awareness even though he himself is the best evidence against the sexist idea he's presenting
I learned back in highschool through my many attempts at doing so, that you cannot convince a stupid person that they're stupid. Only smart people can know they're stupid, which means I'm smart, because I realize I'm a god damn moron, but that also means I can't be smart....
And weirdly that statement despite being VERY true also touches on a myth once believed to be legit, but has since been debunked as pseudoscience, that the Y Chromosome was the "True source of human evil", sadly this was a thing, and it was believed that people with more than one Y chromosome were "Especially dangerous"
This was also around the time they drilled holes in people's heads to cure epilepsy, and was based on "It sure is wacky that most people we put in prison are dudes. Obviously maleness in and of itself is tied to evil.", which itself was based on someone doing a bunch of self-prescribed opium while reading a newspaper.
I really wish the "Maleness = Evilness" trope was dead, but it's sadly still around and being used to justify transphobia
Tangent time! The cats knocked one of my PS5 controllers to the floor for the umpteenth time recently, but this time the R2 trigger stopped working. Apparently, if a button on a PS5 controller stops working, it disables EVERY button from working when you load up a game or app, so even things that don't need that button won't work. I really didn't want to spend $70+ dollars for a new one, so I used a YouTube tutorial to take it apart and see if I could fix it. Nothing looked out of the ordinary, but the R2 trigger still refused to work. After taking it almost all the way apart, unplugging and replugging every tiny ribbon cable in it, it worked! One of the ribbon cables must have been knocked ever so slightly loose. I was shocked I actually managed to fix it since I'm not very mechanically inclined.
Congrats! It feels incredible when a " ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯ worth a try!" repair turns out well; I can practically feel your astonished jubilance through the screen.
I've got to the point where I have enough experience fixing things that I feel completely confident in my ability to have an initial look at the problem (possibly opening the device), and to know whether I'm likely to break things worse by dabbling. Sometimes this means immediately closing up the device, but increasingly often I feel comfortable taking a crack at the problem, and sometimes it even works!
Congrats) there are also spare parts for ps5 controller on AliExpress, also there's replicas of ps4 and ps5 controllers, ps4 goes for around 10$ and ps5 for around 40$ but be wary, there's look alike replicas for ps5 controllers that is actually ps4 replicas hardware wise going for around 15-20$
I'm still amazed that Toxic DBD Players tend to be Survivor Mains. Just saying, you'd think toxic people would be naturally drawn to playing a role that is meant to achieve happiness at the misfortune of others.
This was me recently when attempting the lost void levels in Astro Bot. I somehow managed to beat them all except for To the Beat. I made it all the way to the last part before I just couldn't take the frustration any more. I'm getting too old for this shit!
