Update: New solar flare, secondary peak today in this "Extreme" solar storm

The ongoing geomagnetic storm is expected to intensify later today, Sunday, May 12, 2024. Several intense CMEs are anticipated to hit Earth.

  Just keep in mind that historically the use of wax as material for devices used in trying to reach the sun has ended up in catastrophe, so you might want to avoid that for your rocket.
