What do you want to see in !metal?
I feel pretty uninspired, and have kind of run out of ideas. Please feel free to give me suggestions, and don't be afraid to post yourselves.
Shit man, you're my favorite online metalhead. Your posts are great as they are. At whatever frequency you feel like. I wish I could manage the stream of awesome you pull off.
But, if you're looking for something to both inspire yourself, and explore things, do a genre walk. Pick a genre, pick three bands in it, find your favorite track (or album) and then post it.
Waaaaaay back in the day, the metalheads I ran with did similar. We'd meet up every now and then, and few of us did that, only the result would be a tape that we would listen to. I remember one Saturday, my tape got booed heavily lol. But it still led to a great night bullshitting and listening to metal :)
I keep meaning to get together a series of posts with my favorite black metal tracks, since I'm picky as fuck about black metal. I just never get around to it.
Being real, this is my favorite C/ on lemmy. Just as it is.
I never thought of just picking three bands in a genre, though if I have time, I'll probably try it out
Needless bickering over what subgenre a band fits into!
This, also more "Oh, you like [POPULAR BAND]? Personally, I think they're overrated, I mean their production is decent but so cold and sterile, you know? [BAND NOBODY'S HEARD OF] is way better.
Everybody just post what they like. If people don't like it, they'll downvote.
I'm here for some discovery of new bands and some nostalgia.
Pretty much this. Anything from old thrash to modern death metal is what I want to see. Ive found some cool shit on here already
I think this sub has a really good mix right now between new releases, old classics, and lesser-known stuff.
What kind of ideas are you hoping to discover? The purpose of this post is a little bit unclear.
