Kerala isn't a Muslim country. It's a secular, communist southern state in India with a considerable Hindu majority, and the CPIM having the majority seat in the LDF coalition. India is officially secular and has a Hindu majority. Kochi has some Muslims, but is mostly Christian and Hindu. Ironically, Kochi also has a small Jewish community with a five century old synagogue, and Jews and Muslims have co-existed peacefully in the region.
