Lemmy seems a lot less toxic than Reddit. Every now and then I see comments here of people that are assholes, but its not the norm. Whenever I would check the comment feeds in Reddit, so many of them devolve into petty bickering. It seemed like a quarter of the user base set out that day to either be pissed off, or to piss someone else off.
Most of these bikes can go 20 mph+, with many able to do 30mph+ in "off road mode". For someone that lives in a smaller city that doesn't require freeway use, these are a fantastic way to save money on transport.
You mean base-10? My totally unrealistic pipe dream would be to have the world switch to base-12.
I've found that the Proton apps do a decent job of replacing Google's suite of apps like Drive, Mail and Calendar.
This is awesome! I'll keep my fingers crossed for a Linux implementation of Proton Drive next!
Just dusted off my Boosted Board for my first ride of the summer!
I'm in the same boat as you. I tried running Bazzite a while back. Most of my Linux experience has been with Pop!_OS, and gaming didn't seem easier than what I was used so, because Pop is already ridiculously easy to run. I'd love to know what I'm missing.
You're not wrong, but like the duress pin, it would be a nice feature to have. Not everyone would have to set a duress fingerprint, just the people who find value in it.
I really hope the visibility created by being ported to other distros will allow for more applet development.
The Proton Drive app can automatically sync pictures from your phone. The Proton ecosystem as a whole is a good alternative to Google's.
Cool feature, I wonder if a duress fingerprint will be introduced in the future?
The upcoming Cosmic desktop by Pop!_OS has the exact feature you're describing.
Pop is great for gaming, especially for Nvidia cards.
I was really intrigued by the phone mask offering, but you are limited to 75 texts a month, and 50 minutes of talk time. Given other limitations of the service, I think it's a far better deal to just get a fully pledged phone plan from someone like Mint mobile.

I would love to help, please message me!
KOReader is a pretty decent ereader option, it matches what I put on my Kobo.
Can Anyone Connect to Proton VPN on COSMIC?
The only thing that is stopping me from daily driving the pre-alpha is the fact that I can't get my VPN to connect.
Troubleshooting steps so far:
- Everything suggested on the notification in the screenshot, including restarting, signing out, and trying other servers.
- Using the Advanced Network Configuration app as suggested by @mmstick in a Reddit post. Tried importing a Proton VPN configuration and entering the OpenVPN info manually.
It connects just fine in the current Gnome DE, and I don't have enough know-how to understand what's not working in COSMIC.
My wife adamantly refused to get a Steam Deck for herself, saying that she would never give up her Switch.
Cut to one year out from buying one for her, and the Switch has been in a bin almost the entire time.
This might be wishful thinking, but I've been so excited to how Project Virgo turns out. An in-house design from System76 would be amazing, and I hope more info is released soon.
This looks amazing!! I've been too timid to mod mine, but this might convince me...
New Keycaps!
All keycaps are from SPK (Formerly PimpMyKeyboad), which provides custom keycap sizing for the unique specs of the Launch keyboard. Goes well with my Cosmic DE layout!
