  • Sounds like a great idea, I'll definetely leave one :з

  • Nnnngh why am I so horny?
  • Hey, how about building one of the newest versions of GCC for RHEL-based distro with outdated packages and ugly SPECs? :3

Well, seems like headpats won't be enough at this point...

  • Lurkers Assemble! Why do you lurk?
  • There are lots of reasons why I prefer to lurk, and some of them - my English is not so good, and while I don't use translator for writing comment's and chatting, there's still always a feeling that my poor knowledge of language makes me look ridiculous. Also my social anxiety makes much harder for me to make any contact with people just because it always feels like I'll be ashamed for my opinion, for my poor selection of words and so on

  • Got a new picture of my sona
  • What a cutie!

  • Slow day today, how's everyone doing?

  • Am on a mini-break. Hope that's okay. How's your day going and how to do you handle the heat?
  • Everything is fine! Just finished bachelor's degree and enjoying the rest of the summer at work, but there's nothing to complain about. It's not so hot where I live, usually not more than 25°C, so that's why I spend a lot of time outside in this weather

  • At this moment, I've already tried almost every DE excluding some tiling wms or things like LabWM/Openbox/IceWM. I've spent most time tryings these DEs on Fedora, and for me these years with Fedora were the most frustrating ones in my whole Linux experience. I really loved Gnome, but Gnome 44 felt so unstable for me (Nautilus freezing when context menu opened and both mouse buttons pressed, constant crashes of some internal components like tracker-miners, memory leaks in Gnome software and so on). Mate and Cinnamon both were great, but on my current rig Xorg just doesn't work for me, especially in some games utilizing DXVK when FPS exceeds my 144hz refresh rate and everything becomes too choppy. Budgie looks great too, but last time I tried it it was impossible to switch to a different keyboard layout on a lock screen, and the whole DE just was constantly crashing. And most of my time I spent on KDE starting from 5.14. From version 5.22 I fully switched to Wayland session, and while it was a mess until 5.27 released, which fixed constant freezes when your clipboard had too many things inside, but with latest Fedora release the whole experience became a nightmare for me - KDE applications were crashing, default power profiles made my laptop instantly shutting down when something power intense was started on a discrete card (AMD RX 6600M), and then I just decided to try a new Debian release in a total despair from my whole experience. So I installed Debian with KDE, set everything I need, and.. oh my god, I think I finally found my zen. KDE 5.27 with Wayland works SOOOO stable I just couldn't believe I wasn't running it on Xorg. Laptop stopped shutting down when discrete GPU was utilised on battery, it always wakes up from sleep, it just works flawlessly. I even guess I never was more happy in my whole life xD

So looks like Fedora was my main problem for the whole time, and maybe I should try Gnome on Debian someday, but as for now I'm just so tired, and I just want my computer to work without trying to surprise me with sudden instability when I really need to work. And sorry for my long boring story not even really related to DEs, but while I was writing this comment for some reason I thought I should say about all these things, heh

  • Furries are typically more likely to be LGBTQ+, if it's okay to ask, what's your orientation / gender preference?
  • I'm just a boring He/Him cis guy, but gay af. I can't really say I'm fully gay, because there was some rare moments when I felt something to a girl, but it was something that really quickly disappeared, which never happened for me with guys. Even if I look like some submissive boy with my 176cm/59kg, I'm mostly dominant in my relationships, but in closer intercourses I'm a switch. And heh, there's nothing to regret, such conversations looks very cute in my opinion

  • Daily discussion chats! Let's come up with furry topics.
  • Maybe I'm a little out of place, but.. hey, are we even furries if we still haven't talked about IT/system administration/programming and especially about dirty UNIX things?

But to be serious, seems like there are many tech-savvy people here, so this is my idea for further discussions. Maybe we could talk about which OSes do we use, which programming languages use for our projects, and maybe even share some ideas about what we possibly could develop (sounds like something unrealistic, but who knows).

And of course share your programming socks if you have any!

  • How furry is your lifestyle?
  • Back in 2018, when I made very important conclusions about myself and what I hide from myself, I tried to get out of my closet and started wearing a phone case with Daniel from Weekend comics and a pride pin, which was given to me by my friend and which I was reeeealy scared to wear, and both of these helped me to find my first partner. As for now, I wear nothing like this at all, only my phone and laptop wallpaper can show that I'm a furry, as well as my social networks accounts, in which I have colleagues from my work in friends list.

  • Why is it always like this?
  • Ooh, so relatable I want to cry, heh. Now I'm 6400km away from my bf, but I hope this is going to change soon, because we are thinking about moving in this summer

  • Time to spill the beans: what are you into? (image by Box goat)
  • You already did it great, so guess there's nothing more I could wish for. Thank you for such a sweet place ^^

  • Consider me a weirdo, but my main fetishes are hugs, cuddles, kisses and love in general. Sometimes it's really hard to find something that doesn't have oversized dicks, gallons of cum and just not being extremely sexualized and rude. Feral, BDSM, vore and anything like that is just a momental turn off for me. It was really surprising for me to find decent amount of pics which I liked a lot in this community, while on Reddit I skip something like 8 from 10 pictures

And yeah, just trying to stop lurking :3

  • With reddit going down the drain, now's the time to act to help build better furry communities. Let's build a space we can call home <3 (art by Geekidog)
  • I still can't believe how warm and cute this community looks right now. Maybe it's because there are not so many people, but anyway I'm really happy to be here
