Who let Gen X off the hook?
  • the effects and reach of the hippie movement are greatly exaggerated for effect, and most of those folks rejoined society and put on their suit and tie once the acid wore off.

and genX never allowed shit, and neither did we get shit done. we are always as a group outnumbered and outgunned by the generation before us, and the generation after us.

so yeah, we've been unable to effect change, and that's why we are jaded af, and are just tired of giving a shit.

I do what I can in the community I'm in, and that's that

  • Oregon governor signs bill criminalizing drug possession
  • I'm in Portland, and while we voted for this our local government did not provide the requisite opportunities for care and treatment. The rollback of this bill reintroduces facilities for care and treatment.

Not going to get into what is right or wrong, but please understand that this first attempt was implemented poorly and needed to be adjusted in some manner.

  • How bad are electric bikes for the environment? (Spoiler, they can actually be better than regular bikes!)
  • I mean, sure... not compared to a normal bicycle, but compared to the average grocery getter, and don't even talk to me about the monstrous SUV and 4x4 garage queens out there. ebikes are fine, normalize all environmentally healthy transit!

  • Warranty problems

I have a 2000 2.5RS with busted rear seat belts that are covered under a lifetime warranty. Subaru is unable to fulfill their obligation, and calls are not being returned. Does anyone have any advice on this?

    Thanks in advance!

    Interesting pour over this morning

So I have some beans from 2 different roasters, the light roast is a bit old (Great North), and there wasn't much left when my partner brought me another roast that I can't get from out of state that's a medium roast (Philz). That medium roast is almost gone now too, so I mixed them together and made a pour over this morning.

It's pretty interesting, it has those light flowery notes up front, but then finishes with a rich depthness that wasn't apparent when I was brewing the medium roast solo.

Just thought that was interesting... but now I want to hear from you. Do you ever mix beans for your brews, pour over or otherwise? Do you get different flavor profiles when doing so? How about fresh or older beans?

Let me know in the comments below, thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day!

How bad is the situation right now?

Santi wants out, we're plagued by injuries, and it seems like Gio has lost the locker room. Do we clean house, or try to rebuild with what we have?
